Shiny Sandwich Recipes Using Fewer Ingredients

All Shiny Sandwiches require at least 2 Herba Mystica and a minimum of one other ingredient. You can get Herba Mystica as rare drops from 5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raids.

The Shiny Sandwich recipes listed below have Sparkling Power Level 3, Encounter Power Level 3, and Title Power Level 3. Most of the recipes also have a give Title Power after eating it.

Sparkling Power helps by giving you a higher chance to find shinies, while Encounter Power increases the number of spawns of Pokemon of that type, maximizing the efficiency of shiny hunting.

Shiny Sandwich Recipes Using Any Herba Mystica

Our team tested the data shared by Twitter user @tak2525tak that allows for recipes that can use almost any combination of Herba Mystica and simple ingredients.

Each of these recipes gives Sparkling Power Lv. 3, Encounter Power Lv. 3, and Title Power Lv. 3, with a few exceptions as listed below.

The exceptions provide Catching Power instead of Encounter Power and are not recommended for Shiny hunting.

Unfortunately, all Shiny Sandwiches discovered so far in the game require some sort of Herba Mystica.

If you are out of Herba Mystica or don't have access to it yet, however, there are other ways to increase your chances of encountering a Shiny Pokemon such as using a Shiny Charm, going to Mass Outbreaks, or using the Masuda Method!

Use Creative Mode

These Shiny Sandwiches are not listed recipes in the game. Use Creative Mode to prepare the ingredients needed to make the sandwich.

Press the X button in the Sandwich Menu to switch to Creative Mode and select the ingredients.

Arrange and Complete

Like making regular sandwiches, you'll need to put this one together, and voila! You have your Shiny Sandwich ready to eat!

Just note that the boosts granted by the sandwich only last for 30 minutes!

How to Get Herba Mystica

Obtain through 5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raid Battles

There is a chance that you may obtain Herba Mystica upon completing 5-Star and 6-Star Tera Raid battles. These raids are available once you have finished the main story and are in the post-game.

it is recommended to take on 5-Star Raids to farm Herba Mystica, as these raids are easier to complete and appear more often than 6-Star Raids.

Additionally, Herba Mystica are rare drops at both raid levels, so you will need to complete multiple raids to obtain a good number of them!

There are only a limited number of Tera Raid Battles that can occur in a day. So to make the most of it, join others who are going on 5-Star Tera Raid Battles! Make sure you're bringing the strongest Pokemon to clear these high-level Raids.

The Sparkling Power effect increases your chances of finding a Shiny Pokemon in the wild and is vital for hunting particularly elusive pokemon in the overworld.

Only Affects Wild Pokemon Encounters

Sparkling Power only changes your chances of encountering Shiny Pokemon in the wild. This does not include wild Pokemon in Tera Raid battles.

Eating Sandwiches with this Meal Power also does not increase the chances of hatching Shiny offspring from Eggs. Use the Masuda Method and obtain a Shiny Charm if you plan on hatching Shiny Pokemon from Eggs.

Sparkling Power Level 3

Sparkling Power Level 3 offers the highest bonus for shiny hunting at 1/1024.

Keep in mind that the Sparkling Power effect only comes in either Level 2 or Level 3, and Sparkling Power Level 2 is only possible if you fail creating the sandwich.

60+ Mass Outbreak Chain

The 60+ Mass Outbreak Chain offers a bonus of 1/1365 if you clear 60 or more Pokemon during a Mass Outbreak.

Though it's lower, the rate of catching a Shiny Pokemon during a mass outbreak is actually higher due to the ease of clearing Pokemon during outbreaks.

The Shiny Charm increases the base shiny odds from 1/4096 to 1/1365. Although it offers the lowest increase, the fact that it increases the base shiny odds mean that it's vital for efficient shiny hunting.

Combining Sparkling Power Level 3, the 60+ Mass Outbreak Chain, as well as the flat bonus from the Shiny Charm offers the best shiny odds at 1/512.

If you're looking for a particular shiny, make sure to check the available outbreaks for the day if they are available and build up a mass outbreak chain. Once you have the 60+ chain bonus, create a sandwich with Shiny Power Level 3 and then start hunting for your shiny!

Save Before Making a Sandwich Avoid Placing the Top Bread Join Friends' Picnics

Save Before Making a Shiny Sandwich

If you save before making your Shiny Sandwich, you create an effective check-point that you can go back to in the event that you do not find your target shiny Pokemon during a 30 minute session. If you turn off your game without saving after an unsuccessful shiny hunt, you will be able to reload to before you started the shiny hunt and try again, saving your Herba Mystica!

Don't Put the Top Bread On!

Even without the top bread connecting with the sandwich, you will still be able to benefit from the same powers. As some recipes require a lot of ingredients stacked on top of each other, it is not worth the risk of knocking them over when you put the top bread on. You are better off dropping the top bread far away from the sandwich!

Join Friends' Picnics for Unlimited Shiny Sandwiches

If you join a friends Picnic and have them save before making the Shiny Sandwich as detailed above, you will be able to catch unlimited shiny Pokemon using their sandwiches. Once the host has finished a Picnic they simply turn off the game without saving to get their Herba Mystica back, while the other player is free to save after any shinies they catch!
