dude, game8 is just a bunch of random players with skill issues and biases. His downgrade in tier list was long overdue, cuz no way he deserves to stand next to Neuvillete, Arclecchino and now Mauvika. But do you even need to care about it? Or you main a character only as long as some random ppl on internet perceive them as SS rank? You're a fake main then. There are plenty of seasoned Ganyu/Childe mains who mastered them to perfection, so they just speedrun every abyss even now. (next)

quitting game8 for downgrading him. i get that natlan chars put out bigger numbers than him but that shouldn't make him less worthy of ss. pulling for mavuika tmrw, still gonna bring him to the abyss. seriously this bs is getting ridiculous.

I remember from comment 181 back they were talking about why he was SS rank in version 5.2 back right? now 5.3 he dropped to S is normal when we are in Natlan. Long comments are very useful, except for those who have short sarcastic comments with no argument. Hope you guys are a little civilized.

Should not have been SS for aslong as he had been, Navia and especially Mualani really outhshine him in DPS these days. there teams also continue to improve whereas his last addition was furina

Solo is very welcome, but the rankings do not evaluate it like that, the evaluation factors are not only solo ability but also include team coordination, raw damage, reaction damage, exploration, crowd control, time, resources to build, control manipulation, support receiving mechanism, ...In addition, Hyperboom + Hydro reaction brings huge damage Alhaitham will not reach SS if he is not Denro. It is not necessary to have Nahida and Kuki, adding Ficshl and Yaoyao is also fine.
i see your point there, if we're talking solo, alhaitham definitely falls off compared to other characters. but as you and 151 said, it's a team game and only very few players actually solo endgame modes like abyss. i don't think the majority opens this site and goes: "oh this character is ss tier so i can solo abyss with them at c0". in my opinion alhaitham still deserves his rank because he can function well with f2p teammates like fischl, kuki, dendro mc, yaoyao etc.
when is works - freeze one of the best reactions. Plus it's not a reaction nor team tier list, so every character (at least DPSes) should be assessed as a standalone unit. Not many ppl play solo, but this is the only fair way. Cuz Alhaitham "is SS" only because of Nahida + Kuki work
is freeze comparable to hyperbloom/spread though...? in the sense that dendro reactions actually deal increased dmg and can be applied to bosses.
By this logic Ayaka is also still a SS DPS, it's just freeze fell off a bit.
from my subjective (!!!!) point of view, i still believe in him as a meta character. i own both neuvilette and arle, and i find myself still bringing alhaitham to the abyss because of how good he is as an on-field driver. i think the issue doesn't lie with alhaitham himself but dendro in generall falling off since natlan meta seems more focused on melt/vape and nightsoul mechanics (kinich being the exception). sad to see, but that's this game works. what does everyone else think? :)
The future of Myhoyo will produce many types of special bosses, to suck gamers blood. And they did that with Tenbrous Papilla with Avoid Ward Shield. Papilla is not a boss possessing element, but the shield cannot be broken whether you own an NEU or ARC? maybe Myhoyo is trying to make the game like the Pokemon mechanism, but instead of improving the old character, they go to the bosses that they receive older things can beat easily, this is funny but suitable reason.
He is also fine with Max High AR 9level, talk about him in Abyss and Theater. Because I own all 3 main DPS SS. I realize that he is slower than NEU and ARC. However, it is still time to get all rewards. That is why he is still in SS. The way to play him is the hardest in the top 3. But I think people will get used to it quickly. I hope people will not see the last bosses of Pyro, Hydro, Shield, ... Recently, the boss with Avoid Ward needs Night Souls or the plural reaction to break.
