It's because chongyun's skill converts all his dmg to cryo. So the weapon's physical dmg bonus becomes useless.

looked for ppl's thoughts about this claymore, they said it wasn't a good weapon for chongyun but idky. does anyone wanna explain it for me? i can't ask those ppl because those were months ago and i don't want them to think i'm stalking them lol.

not great for chongyun, but perfect for eula
to get the claymore from dragonspine quest you gotta light up all 4 torches in the room that will trigger a cutscene and give u the weapon
What about Beidou? If pared with another cryo character like diona or qiqi would it be useless or no?
I'd like to think the better user of this claymore would be a hydro character... But I can't see any character I've see that would fit these criteria. But that be nice to see, I think
You do realize that 1. Chongyuns skill concerts all normal and charged attack damage to cryo and as a result the substat bonus becomes useless and 2. The icicle that have bonus damage if target is frozen does not in itself deal cryo. It dela damage based on normal attack stat. Conclusion: you are wrong. Razor and Xinyan are the only two claymore wielding characters right now that can make proper use of this.
yall out here sleeping on this claymore. I have wolf's gravestone and still choose to use this weapon over it for Chongyun. the damage is insane, especially with refines
