This is the bomb. Several orchestras still play his works until now. Not a fan of the 20 anniversary edition tho.

Kingdom Hearts has real good music by Yoko Shimomura. Dearly Beloved is always a highlight, but the pop song theme songs are real good too

The Remake's soundtrack is generally good but I have to give props to Hollow. It's so good, and it fits the game really well

All the Final Fantasy games have really good music, but I have to highlight FFX, especially the track Someday the Dream Will End.

A lot of people sleep on the music from the Pokemon games but it's got some really good tracks, like the battle theme with Wally from ORAS

The Bravely series has awesome music, especially when it comes to the battle music as they integrate when you're doing well in the game into the music

That song is good but I always thought it was a bit out of place. Wally never seemed to be that kind of badass character the music makes you believe him to be lol

Going back to the remake, all the variations of Aerith's theme tug on my heartstrings. It's so good

for me it was always ff4 and the theme of love. never really got too invested into the love story in the game but the music always got me

I kinda liked feldschlat from sagafrontier 2. Not a masterpiece by anymeans but I like how funky it is.

Can we all agree that old jrpg soundtracks are so superior than the new ones? Backthen, the focus was make everything else beautiful because we lack visuals. Now its all about visuals and I hate it.

And before people say that current gen soundtracks are also good by using ff7 remakes soundtrack as an example, remember that the ost this game used are the ost from the past and just modernized it.

You can never go weing with persona soundtracks. Mass destruction is just good for any mood you have.

Beneath the mask is good for relaxing even listen to that for hours on loop.

Reach out to the truth is sick as well. And dint even get me started in perskna 3 osts.

When the topic about persona is getting hyped and I saw memories of you, I knew, I'm in the right place.

Persona 5's stars and us is pretty nice.

As long as chrono cross is in a game soundtrack discussion, I am satisfied.

Baten kaitos soundtracks are nice too.

The lufia 2 boss battle themse is pretty cool for an snes game.

Ive been playing a lot of league of legends (yeah that trash game) and I wanna quit. But before I quit, I just want to share league's pentakill album. That shit is dope.

Since this thread is made with the black mages ost in mind then maybe you should check out dissidia's versions of soundtracks. Those have a nice twist too. Some good some bad though.

You guys might want to check Pokemon Sword & Shield Soundtracks, too. They're good!!! Especially the Gym Leader Battle Theme :))

Try listening to Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. The home screen musical arrangement is gold. Title is Moment of Recall. The title gives it away. The melody will make you think of memories.

Noriyasu Agematsu is the composer btw...

I love FF Brave Exvius song list. This is probably my personal favorite. I just has a unique & even the battle soundtracks are on-point. I simply love everything & the fact that there's so much instruments involved in every song.

seems like a lot of the posts here talk about RPG soundtracks. But platformers have really good music too, like the soundtracks of the MegaMan games

Mario Odyssey and the Mario Galaxy games have great soundtracks too. I really love the music to the Gusty Garden Galaxy

Cuphead's also got a pretty good soundtrack. It's quite different from a lot of the soundtracks mentioned in this thread.
