yes :) you can say it's like a scanner. So, before going into battle, you can scan your enemy weakness.. you'll know what to do by then.
Since you guys are talking about materia. I have a question. I'm curious about Assess Materia.. Is it like its going to give you some hints on how to defeat the enemy?
this is true. but for starters, it's recommended to get the assess and first strike materia.. if i'm not mistaken it's already available in chapter 3. You'll have to do a quest before obtaining it. I'm not so sure about where to get the first strike though.
nice! good luck :) you can also check this out so you won't get lost about materia and stuff: https://game8.co/games/Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake/archives/278576
It really depends on to which you are going to use the materia. You have to know the weaknesses of your opponent first. Like what the guy mentioned. If you challenge Shiva, you'll have to equip your characters with Fire Materia. Then you have to use other materia for a different enemy.
No problem. What are boards for? lol.
This is a great idea. I will get that summon materia. I think this will really helped in battle. I'm just in chapter two right now. Good thing I knew this earlier. Thanks!
best materia huh? i think it depends which enemy i'm dealing with? but imo magic and summon are pretty useful.. though some summon materia like Shiva are difficult to earn, you need to defeat them first. While, you can obtain Ifrit from jessie.
get the summon materia, if you want to bring along a summon in battle. like when thinking to challenge shiva, you'll need Ifrit's summon materia. Combine it with fire magic materia and you're good.
yes materia act as magic stones here with a different purpose. there are several types of materia: magic, command, complete, support, summon. And, each type has different functions like magic materia. This teaches you the well, magic such as fire spells like Firaga. It's worth to mention, the difference of the FF7 concept from other FF games. In other FF games, characters learn magic by leveling up.. But this is not how it works in FF7. You have to own a materia.
What do you think is the best materia? Which one really helped you?
yes, if you challenge Shiva (ice elemental user) for example, you'll have to equip your characters with Fire Materia and bring Ifrit (fire summon) along.
This is my first FF, I'm also not familiar with that. But thank you for this. :)
you can use elements in your advantage. you can both use it as defense and offense.
Ohh. So I should use them depending on what enemy I'm going to attack.. Well I just wasted a lot of those. XD Thank you for this!
You can use your those with Elemental Materia. Linked them and the Elemental Materia will be useful, it adds an increasing percentage of elemental damage to your standard attacks.
the materia concept here is quite similar to ff9 magic stones. i think materia is the term for magic stones here. the only difference is magic stones in FF9 give character specific abilities meanwhile, here in FF7 remake, each character already has their respective abilities.
yes.. some enemies have elemental immunity and have specific elements they're good at using. When you use its elemental counterparts against enemies, it''ll deliver more damage. and you can defeat your enemy way faster if you know what their elemental weaknesses are..
thank you
Hello.. Is there a specific purpose for Fire/Wind/Ice? I think I'm using it the wrong way..
Do the Battle Intel: The Stagger Effect Pt. 2 Quest. You can acquire it from there.
You can purchase it from Chadley's Secret Research for 100 Gil.
you can always buy potion in shops. at times, you can just pick potions around the area,. not worth the work..
You'll get more Gil as you progress through the story. You'll even want to go on a shopping spree thinking where should I spend this much Gil?So, I suggest, go for side quests with more worthy rewards.
You can farm Gil fast. If I were you, i would focus on quests that give hard-to-obtain items. Instead of going to shops, which sometimes are still inaccessible in certain stages, you can do a little quest and earn some necessary items.
that what makes this game interesting. if the enemies and bosses aren't a challenge, what else would be? overall i like how this game works, like most rpgs there's the equip your characters with weapons.. but my personal favorite here is the uniqueness of materia. you can have several options to choose what kind of materia do you need per chara.. it measures your tactical ability. i just love it.
Should I give time doing side quests that only give potion and gil as rewards? Are you guys getting Gil fast? At he start of the game?
it's never too late, you can get back to it after playing the original.
physical attacks work to ofc.. but thunders save the day
