EV Spread Explanation

Tera Raid EV spreads should lean towards Bulky Offense. Max out your HP and Sp. Atk EVs, while adding the remaining EVs into Defense. Give it Shell Bell to heal up any damage you might accrue.

Tera Raid Strategy

Hoopa Unbound Tera Raid Turn-by-Turn Counter Strategy
Turns 1~3 Use Nasty Plot to boost Hoopa Unbound's Special Attack.
Turn 4 Use Psychic Terrain to boost Psychic-type damage.
Turn 5 Use Wonder Room if the enemy has a lower Def stat than Sp. Def.
Turns 6~8 or Low HP Use Psychic.
Turns 9+ Terastallize and continue using Psychic.

Start Tera Raid Battles by using Nasty Plot three times to boost Hoopa Unbound's Special Attack by six stages. With Hoopa Unbound having one of the highest Sp. Atk stats in the game, boosting it further with Nasty Plot should allow you to clear most raids with ease.

Use Psychic Terrain after to boost Psychic-type damage output, allowing Psychic to deal massive damage. After your initial setup, use Psychic to deal damage against the Raid Pokemon.

Once you have enough Tera Orb charge, Terastallize to further increase your damage output, ending the raid faster.

Since Wonder Room switches Special Defense an Defense of every Pokemon on the field, use it against Pokemon with High Special Defense, but low Defense stats, like Blissey.

If the Tera Raid Boss is usually a Bug, Dark or Ghost Type outside of Terastallization, perhaps consider a different build, as Hoopa Unbound will be weak to these Types as a Psychic-Type attacker.

Turn 1~3 Use Nasty Plot to boost Hoopa Unbound's Special Attack
Turns 4~6 Use Dark Pulse or Tera Blast to build up Tera Orb Charges.
Turns 8+ Terastallize and use Dark Pulse or Tera Blast until the Raid Boss is defeated. Feel free to reset any buffs you might have lost.

Start the raid by setting up Nasty Plot to boost Hoopa Unbound's Sp. Atk. to +6. You can also use Taunt to prevent the Raid Boss from using Status moves.

With maxed out Special Attack, Hoopa Unbound's Dark Pulse and Tera Blast will make quick work out of the Raid Boss.

If you have the money for it, you can just buy 26 HP Up (for HP), 26 Calcium (for Sp. Atk), and 1 Iron (for Def). All of these items can be bought at a Chansey Supply shop and it will cost you ₽530,000 in total.

Alternatively, you can use Power Items that you can buy at a Delibird Presents shop for ₽10,000 each. Have your Pokemon hold the respective Power Item while defeating the Pokemon listed below.
