Revival Blessing
Trick Room

This set hinges greatly on whether or not Rabsca can set up Trick Room where it can contribute offensively with Bug Buzz and Psychic.

Revival Blessing naturally synergizes with Leppa Berry, which allows Rabsca to use Revival Blessing twice in one battle. Alternatively, you can run Mental Herb instead if reviving two teammates isn't too important.

Tera Dark can protect Rabsca from Dark and Ghost-type Moves, which can improve its chancces of setting up Trick Room before getting KOd.

Other Viable Moves

Memento Memento lowers both the opponent's Attack and Special Attack by two stages, allowing a teammate to safely switch in.

Doubles Movesets for Rabsca

Trick Room Setter ★★★★★

Held Item Mental Herb
Moveset Trick Room
Revival Blessing
Bug Buzz
Memento

This Rabsca build wants to set up Trick Room and use either Revival Blessing or Memento right after. Revival Blessing revives a fainted teammate, while Memento debuffs an opponent's offensive stats but causes Rabsca to faint. Using Memento allows a teammate to safely switch in without having to hard switch as it comes in against a debuffed opponent.

Bug Buzz is Rabsca's only offensive move, which lets it do modest damage when it has to attack. Bug Buzz is a great option against Pokemon like Meowscarada and Hydreigon.

Mental Herb ensures that Rabsca is not taken out of the game by Taunt.

Rabsca can use Tera Rock to protect itself from getting KOd by Fire, Flying, and Rock-type moves.

Other Viable Moves

Psychic Psychic is another STAB option for Rabsca that is resisted by fewer Pokemon than Bug Buzz.

How to Use Rabsca Effectively

Keep Rabsca Healthy

Rabsca's mediocre defenses make it very susceptible to getting overwhelmed with damage. It is important to keep it healthy for as long as possible or at least as many turns as it needs to use Trick Room and Revival Blessing.

Use Revival Blessing

Rabsca is one of only two Pokemon who learn Revival Blessing, with the other one being Pawmot. This makes Rabsca a valuable Pokemon in its own right if it is able to revive a fainted ally. Find situations where Rabsca isn't in immediate danger to use Revival Blessing.

How to Build a Team with Rabsca

Rabsca is best in teams with teammates that can take advantage of Revival Blessing and Trick Room. Because Rabsca does not have the best defenses, defensive switches are also appreciated.

Sample Singles Team

Trick Room Setter / Attacker Trick Room Attacker Trick Room Setter / Attacker
Rabsca ImageRabsca Kingambit ImageKingambit Hatterene ImageHatterene

Rabsca can set Trick Room for its slower teammates who flourish in Trick Room. Kingambit is a good switch-in to Bug, Dark and Ghost-type Moves, while Hatterene can come in for Fire-type attacks.
Both Kingambit and Hatterene have enough firepower to take full advantage of Trick Room after it is set up.

Sample Doubles Team

Physical Attacker Trick Room Setter
Garganacl ImageGarganacl Rabsca ImageRabsca
Physical Attacker Special Attacker
Hariyama ImageHariyama Torkoal ImageTorkoal

This gimmicky Doubles build aims to have Garganacl use Choice Band Tera Normal Explosion to KO the field while Rabsca is protected from damage because of its Telepathy as it sets up Trick Room. It can then use Revival Blessing to revive Garganacl and have Garganacl come back and attack again. Rabsca can also ensure that its teammates get in safely with Memento lowering its opponent's offensive capabilities.

Hariyama and Torkoal are excellent Trick Room attackers thanks to their offensive potential and abysmally low speed.
