They are also thinking of adding some loot boxes to the game! Did you even see those cosmetic boxes that can be bought for RP it gives out skin changes and some other things that you don't need. That is some corny move that they did it's almost like pubg or some other shooting games that you can design your character and weapons
Since they already make that move why not just add the other UBCS guys and make the resistance like the mercenaries where you can use those guys and complete a mission. That is where the resistance is heading as of now by adding the main characters to this content.
but it still part of the resident evil and they share a common enemy and that is the umbrella corporation. I think your reasoning is not valid by adding new characters they already did that there are a lot of new faces in the resistance. Jill is supposed to give them a hand since they are noobs lol that's why they added Jill as member of the resistance. Since the survivor's goal is to uncover the mysteries surrounding the umbrella corp
Don't get me wrong adding Jill and the other guys is not bad but this is the resistance we're talking about! it is supposed to be another story besides the main one so the characters should be new and unique just like the the new faces of the survivors. That is a good start for the resistance but when they added Jill i think they are just running out of ideas to make the Resistance more interesting
I think there is no harm done using the main characters of re3 for the resistance content. It can also give some hype for the players thinking a certain main character is going to be added for resistance, especially with the Jill update for resistance and it is for free
Does Capcom is running out of ideas creating new and unique characters for resistance? Especially when they are adding nicholai as a mastermind. Why not create a new mastermind instead of recycling characters that are already in the game

I'm enjoying resistance quite alot. I hope to see more updates like you guys in the future. Is it just me or has resistance been getting a lot of new/active players recently
That'd be awesome and it makes a lot of sense because Nikolai is basically a perpetrator a-hole in the story
That's actually now how a remake should be made since most of the content they only just remastered the game and doesn't actually made innovation/creativity to the game they just put some mechanics that are already exisiting to other resident evil games. so there is actually no remake that is made to the game just some graphics upgrade and some additional feature especially the resistance
Oh you mean on how they cut some certain parts of the game and lengthen some of the old parts. Now that is some remake that they did to the game. AND they removed mercenaries and replaced some multiplayer content to milk those consumers
They also added some stories and they also added some new awesome features for the game making it an awesome remake for the original RE3. So what are you implying that they only remastered the graphics of the game without saying that they remade the whole game and added more features
Nope, i really wanted some new content for the single player mode not just some remaster of graphics because that's what they just did for the single player mode. The actual selling point of this game that will make it worth your while is by playing the resistance! I really don't play the resistance much and for me the single player content is getting boring by the minute
Yeah, since that is their main selling point as of this time. That is normally what they are going to do to increase their income for this game, Resistance is not so bad especially when you start to play it!
So they will just keep adding characters to resistance and not update some of the single player content so it will be so much fun since this is a remake right? but instead they're just focusing on the online multiplayer.
Capcom already teased it by releasing some teaser on their official twitter account. Nikolai will be added as a mastermind on Mayt 2020

So they added Jill in the resistance now and planning to add Nikolai as a Mastermind in the future updates. So are we going to see the UBCS guys to be added for the future update?

And the thieves will still get their bottom line. It's a win-win. Really good idea.
Even laziness isn't a good excuse. If they're too lazy to think of their own new ideas, then they can easily scout public forums like these and steal other people's new ideas. If they steal new ideas that a lot of other people really like, I doubt those people would mind.
Isn't running out of IP such a silly idea? I mean, if they run out of intellectual property, then that means they're out of brainpower. If they're out of brainpower, that means they're just not thinking, period. How sad is that?

I see what you mean, but the little indie developers are at least doing it because they identify with it. We should all expect less from big companies whose main goal is to make money. That's just business.

They seem to be unable to think fresh, because they're not using fresh brain. They've been on this franchise for decades. They need new people to lead.
