This page lists all enemies found in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Remake) for the Nintendo Switch. Click on an enemy's image or name to learn more information about them!
Overworld enemies are found all throughout Koholint Island, but not inside of dungeons or caves. You will mostly encounter them in between dungeons. Enemies found only in Kanelet Castle also fit into this category.
Dungeon enemies are found in dungeons, as well as caves and underground passages. You will not encounter them while walking around Koholint Island. Typically, they can be defeated much more easily after obtaining the dungeon's weapon.
List of Dungeon and Underworld Enemies
Traps are enemies that typically cannot be defeated with your sword or normal items alone, although they sometimes do have a weakness found much later in the game. They have various moving patterns, and in most cases, you are better off just running away to avoid getting damaged by them.

Blade Trap | Mega Thwomp | Rolling Spike Trap | Podoboo |
Spiked Thwomp | Thwomp | Flame Fountain |
Mini-Bosses are found in dungeons, as well as in mini-dungeons completed between dungeons. They do not respawn after defeating them. Inside a dungeon, defeating a Mini-Boss will usually create a warp point to the start of a dungeon, and sometimes leave a fairy behind.

Giant Buzz Blob | Stone Hinox | Hydrosaur | Master Strafos |
Gohma | Armos Knight | Rover | Red Hinox |
Grim Creeper | Turtle Rock | Blue Hinox | Blaino |
Nightmares are the bosses of Link's Awakening. They are always found at the very end of a dungeon, and must be defeated in order to progress through the game (with the exception of Hardhit Beetle, who is in an optional dungeon). Defeating the first 8 Nightmares will earn you both a Heart Container and one of the Instruments of the Sirens needed to wake the Wind Fish.
