Seashell Locations Map: How to Get All Secret Seashells

You can exchange the Secret Seashells you collect for special rewards in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Remake) on the Nintendo Switch! Here is a map of all 50 Secret Seashell Locations, how to get each of them, and the rewards you can get in the Seashell Mansion!

How to Get All Secret Seashells

Secret Seashell #1

Location: Mabe Village Required Item: Sword

After getting your sword back from Toronbo Shores, return to Mabe Vilage. Just south of the shop, you will see a patch of grass. Obtain this shell by cutting the grass towards the north end of this patch.

Trendy Game house can be found on the right side of the Telephone Booth in Mabe Village. This Secret Seashell is available as reward by default. Each attempt will cost you 10 Rupees.

A Secret Seashell will become available for the second time at Trendy Game once you win enough of the game's prizes.

North of Mabe Village you can play the Fishing Pond Mini-game. If you are able to catch a fish 45 inches or bigger for the first time, you will receive a Secret Seashell as bonus reward. (You can use any type of Lure)

Catching a Cheep Cheep in the fishing pond mini-game (located in Mabe Village) for the first time will reward you with another Secret Seashell.

Use the shovel on the lower right corner of the CiaoCiao's Room to dig this Seashell up. The Shovel can be purchased from the Mabe Village store for 200 Rupees.

This treasure chest that contains the Secret Seashell can be found in the Mysterious Forest, but it is blocked by a Stone. It can only be accessed after you received the Power Bracelet from Bottle Grotto.

Location: Koholint Prairie Required Item: Shovel

Use the shovel on the center of the patch of grass that is located below the Witch's Hut, near the Tombstone surrounded by flowers.

You can only access this secret cave after completing Richard's request (gather 5 Golden Leaves). The Secret Seashell can be found on the left side of the cave before heading through the second exit.

This Secret Seashell can be obtained using the shovel and digging the center grass patch that is located above the Key Cavern entrance.

South of Kanalet Castle you will find a rocky area. Among the rocks you will find a single stone that can be lifted. Obtain the Seashell upon lifting this stone.

A cave can be found south of Kanalet Castle near the rocky area. Make your way inside the cave and use the shovel behind the 2F cave exit to obtain the Seashell.

Use the Pegasus Boots' dash attack and hit the tree near the Telephone Booth in Ukuku Prairie. Hitting the tree will cause the seashell to drop down.

A single tree can be found in an open field at the west side of the Tail Cave. Dash into the tree using the Pegasus Boots, which will cause the Secret Seashell to drop down.

On the right side of the quicksand where you fought off Lanmola in Yarna Desert, you will find an owl facing down on a space surrounded by cacti. Use your shovel to dig up the Secret Seashell here.

Upon receiving the Flippers from Angler's Tunnel, come back to Ukuku Prairie and swim towards the north most island near Key Cavern.

Using the flippers, swim to the small island to the South of Martha's Bay and cut the tall grass to find the Secret Seashell.

Upon re-entering Tail Cave with bombs in hand, go to north, west, and then north again, and you will find a cracked wall on the left side of the room. Use a bomb to break down the cracked wall and proceed to the treasure chest containing the Secret Seashell.

Inside the Ghost's House, located west of Martha's Bay (accessible after obtaining the Pegasus Boots from Key Cavern), you will see some jars in the lower right corner of the room. Break the jars to find the Secret Seashell.

Use the shovel on the left side of the Owl Statue on the small island connected to a wooden bridge in Martha's Bay. You can get to this area by going left from Animal Village.

Go to the right side of the Telephone Booth in Martha's Bay (you will need the Pegasus Boots to reach this area). Here you will find some tall grass in the corner surrounded by smaller grass. Use your Sword to cut the grass here and find the Secret Seashell.

Find the staircase that is to the right of the quicksand pit where you fought Lanmola. From there, head to the southeast part of Yarna Desert by following the path below you, and lift the bottom boulder to find the Secret Seashell.

Enter the 3rd House in Animal Village and talk to Christine. She will ask you to deliver a letter to Mr. Write, who is in Mysterious Forest. After delivering the letter, come back to her house and she will thank you for keeping her secret. You will then receive a Secret Seashell as a reward.

Location: Ancient Ruins Required Item: Sword

You will find some hidden stairs leading to an underground room under a statue in the Ancient Ruins. Move the Armos by hitting it with your sword, or lure them by running away (Armos will only follow you if it lights up when you get close enough). Inside the underground room, you will find a treasure chest containing the Secret Seashell.

Use the Powerful Bracelet inside Face Shrine, you will find a room in the very northwest section with some some stairs that lead you to an island in Rapids Ride. There, you will find a treasure chest containing the Secret Seashell.

Located on the right side of the Seashell Mansion, east of Ukuku Prairie. You will find a patch of tall grass here. Use your sword to cut it and obtain the Secret Seashell.

Location: Tal Tal Mountain Range Required Item: Power Bracelet

Before going to Eagle's Tower in Tal Tal Mountain Range, you will see a cracked wall inside the first cave. Use bombs to open a path leading to a room full of chests and boulders. Push the boulders and proceed south, and there you will find a chest containing the Seashell.

Use your shovel to dig for the Seashell at the corner of the beach in Toronbo Shores (This is also where you will find Marin to wake the walrus blocking Yarna Desert).

You will encounter a group of trees upon entering Toronbo Shores from Mabe Village. Use your Pegasus Boots to dash and hit the bottom tree which will make the Secret Seashell drop.

Using your shovel to dig at the center of the flower patch near the Mad Batter cave entrance inside Mysterious Forest will net you this Secret Seashell.

On the East side of Goponga Swamp, you will find some boulders blocking the way to Mt. Tamaranch. Lift the boulders using your Power Bracelet. The stone at the left side of the sign showing the directions of Goponga Swamp and Mt. Tamaranch hides the Secret Seashell.

You will find a Telephone Booth on West Tal Tal Mountain Range near Turtle Rock. To its right, in the corner, you will notice some stone patterns on the ground. Use the shovel in the center of this section to obtain the Secret Seashell.

In Tabahl Wasteland, on the right most side, you will see a single section of ground surrounded by grass. Use your shovel to dig up the Secret Seashell.

From the rooster house on Tal Tal Mountain Range, head east toward a wooden bridge. There are 3 boulders here, although one is actually an enemy. The one on the right one hides the Secret Seashell. Pick up the boulder to obtain it.

On the North side of Mysterious Forest, just before reaching Mr. Write's House, you will see an empty space surrounded by grass. Use your shovel to dig and you will find the Secret Seashell.

In Ukuku Prairie, just below the Kanlet Castle, you will find a row of with several pot holes. Use your Hookshot to reach the opposite end. Take the stairs that lead to the room with a treasure chest containing Secret Seashells.

Just above the Telephone Booth near Mr. Write's House, you will find a single spot with tall grass. Cut the grass and dig on the same spot to find the Secret Seashell.

On the right side of the Ukuku Prairie Portal, use your Shovel at the center of the spot where the large skull was previously bombed to obtain the Secret Seashell.

Location: Tal Tal Heights Required Item: Bomb

On the right of the Tal Tal Heights Portal, you will see an elevated area with a hole. Stand between the warp portal and the elevated area. Drop a bomb, then pick it up and throw it towards the hole. This will give you another Secret Seashell.

Location: Rapids Ride Required Item: Shovel

Once you reach Tal Tal Heights, go straight to the far right side and you will see the Raft Shop. From there you will be offered to go on a raft ride for 100 rupees. If you say yes, you will have to choose if you want to go for a Rapid Raid or Rapid Race (either can be chosen for this Seashell). You can use the Hookshot to make it easier to navigate around the water. At the center of the track you will see an island. On this island, use your shovel to dig for the Secret Seashell.

After finishing with the Rapids, go to the island just below the waterfall. On the northeast side of the island, you will find a stone in the corner. Lift it up to find the Secret Seashell.

Go to the Raft Shop in Tal Tal Heights and start a Rapid Race for 100 Rupees. Try to finish as fast as possible. You will be rewarded a Secret Seashell if your time is below 35 seconds. Don't forget to use the Hookshot, as it makes you move faster around the track.

Location: Animal Village Required Item: Ocarina (Ballad of the Wind Fish)

East of Animal Village just before reaching Yarna Desert, use your Ocarina to play Ballad of the Wind Fish for the walrus. A Secret Seashell will be thrown to you by the walrus.

From Tal Tal Heights, jump down the water from the right side of the area. From there, follow the water straight to the left. Crawl inside the hole leading to the waterfall in Kanlet Castle. Dive down to find the Secret Seashell.

In the Tal Tal Mountain Range, go down twice from the Hen house then go right. From there, you will see a single waterfall right above three waterfalls. Use your flippers to dive in front of the single waterfall and you will receive the Secret Seashell.

In Tal Tal Mountain Range, on the left side of Hen House, you will see a broken bridge. From here, stand on the bridge facing down, then throw a bomb at the hole below you, and the explosion will send you a Secret Seashell.

Once you have received the Magnifying Lens by completing the Trading Sequence, you will be able to see the Invisible Zora inside the right most house in the Animal Village. He will be surprised that you can see him and reward you with a Secret Seashell.

Upon entering Eagle's Tower, head straight to the 2nd floor of the dungeon. From there, go to the southwest most room of the area where you will find 6 holes. Jumping down on the holes in the south or west will bring you to the corner walkway on first floor. Run up and you will find a treasure chest containing the Secret Seashell.

After saving Marin, travel to the Western Tal Tal Mountain Range using the Hookshot and enter a hidden cave. Upon exiting the cave, you will be in an area where there are rocks falling. Climb to the peak, and you will see a stone on the corner of the area. Lift it using your power bracelet to receive the Secret Seashell.

Talk to Dampe inside Dampe's Shack. From here you need to arrange and finish the first 4 dungeons that Dampe asks you to make. After finishing the 4th dungeon, Dampe will reward you with a Secret Seashell.

What are Secret Seashells?

Collectibles You Can Exchange for Special Rewards

	Location: Various Item Type: Miscellaneous Description: Beautiful seashells that crop up all over the island.
How to Obtain: Can be found in various locations throughout Koholint Island.

Secret Seashells are collectible items that can be exchanged for gifts inside from Seashell Mansion. There are a total of 50 Secret Seashells hidden all around Koholint Island. They can be found in tresure chests, under rocks, behind tall grass, dug up in dirt, and sometimes even underwater. In addition, some trees will drop them when you dash into them with the Pegasus Boots.

Exchange at Seashell Mansion in Ukuku Prairie

Seashell Mansion is located just southeast of Kanelet Castle, and can be reached after aquiring the Power Bracelet from Bottle Grotto. Without the Bracelet, you will be unable to list and move the boulders that block the way to Ukuku Prairie, where the mansion is located.
