Destroyer Counter Team Comp

Hinagiku Akiba + 1 Long-Range Attacker + Healer

Destroyer Counter Team Comp
Hinagiku AkibaHinagiku Akiba Tsuki IrohaTsuki Iroha Koishi KohinataKoishi Kohinata

For this fight, we recommend having Hinagiku Akiba, one long-range attacker, and one healer.

As the player, you can alternate between using Hinagiku Akiba and Tsuki Iroha. Both of these characters can dish out plenty of damage to Destroyer while making it lose its balance more easily.

A lot of Destroyer's attacks can be difficult to evade but with Hinagiku's ability to automatically Deflect attacks, this shouldn't be much of a problem. Her Ultimate Skill can also debuff Destroyer's defenses, making it more vulnerable to your attacks.

Keeping a safe distance from it by playing as Tsuki helps with survivability as well since the further you are from Destroyer, the easier it is for you to avoid its attacks. Tsuki's Ultimate Skill can also deal tons of damage to Destroyer, so make sure to use it as much as you can.

As with most teams, having a healer like Koishi Kohinata is recommended to help the team stay healthy during the fight.

How to Beat Destroyer

Focus On Evading Its Attacks

Most of Destroyer's attacks are difficult to counter.

Because of this, we recommend focusing on evading Destroyer's attacks. Try to look for an opening before attacking and making it lose its balance.

Counter Its Missiles

Do your best to counter Destroyer's missiles to avoid taking substantial damage.

However, this might be difficult to do because it requires precise timing. The missiles might even come with a laser attack at times.

Because of this, we recommend having Hinagiku Akiba in your party. With her ability to Deflect enemy attacks while charging her primary attack, you can easily counter Destroyer's missiles.

Use Long-Range Attackers

Recommended Long-Range Attackers
Tsuruko SembaTsuruko Semba Tsuki IrohaTsuki Iroha Yutaka GotandaYutaka Gotanda

Aside from Hinagiku's Deflect, Destroyer's attacks can be easily countered and evaded the further away you are.

Utilize long-range characters such as Tsuki Iroha to deal damage to Destroyer while staying healthy by keeping a safe distance from it.

Except for Hina, we highly discourage using other melee attackers against Destroyer to avoid taking significant damage from its attacks.

Level Up Your Character

Zero Sensei Level Cap

One sure fire way to get stronger and make sure you can square up with Destroyer is by leveling up your character.

You can do so by defeating enemies in the overworld or in rifts.

Do note that you may sometimes hit the level cap. In which case, you need to collect Full Mark Stickers until you unlock the next level cap.

Rank Up Your Characters

Potential Menu

Aside from leveling up, you can also make your characters stronger by increasing their rank.

You can do so by going to Characters > Potential. If you lack the materials to rank them up, try farming them from bosses or crafting them.

How to Rank Up Characters and Best Potential For Each Character

Equip Patimon With Good Sub-Stats

Naga B Head

Make sure to equip the right Patimon as well.

These compatible monsters act as gear that boost your characters' stats. Each part has a random sub stat that further strengthens a character too!

You can equip a Patimon by simply going to Characters > Compatible Monster.

Level Up Your Tension Cards

Level Up Tension Card

Finally, don't forget to level up your tension cards so they can perform better during fights.

You can do so by spending TP and Kane at the Tension Card menu. However, do note that you need to spend materials if you want to raise its level cap. You can obtain these materials by defeating certain enemies, challenging rifts, or crafting them.

Destroyer Abilities and Attack Patterns

Destroyer Abilities and Attack Patterns

Rush Attack

One of Destroyer's attack is its Rush attack.

It lunges forward, closing the gap between it and your character, before finishing it off with a swing of its flamethrower.

While it can't be countered, you can time your dodge to avoid taking damage from it.

Laser

Destroyer can also fire a huge laser, dealing significant damage to anyone caught in its wake.

Before it fires the laser though, a red warning sign will appear on your screen. Once the warning sign appears, it's your signal to move away from where Destroyer is facing to avoid its laser.

Missiles

Destroyer can fire homing missiles as well.

This attack can be countered but it can be hard to get the timing right especially when Destroyer fires the missiles at the same time as its laser.

If you can't counter them, do your best to dodge them to avoid taking damage.

Flamethrower

Destroyer sometimes pairs its laser attack along with its flamethrower. He then spins for about 15 seconds damaging everything around it. Time your dodge to avoid the flamethrowers and the laser.

Destroyer Location

Chapter 2 - Neo Highway: Exit

Destroyer

Destroyer is a boss in Chapter 2 that can be found near the Respite Unit in Neo Highway: Exit. You'll have to defeat it before the path to Minato Tower Avenue opens.
