The first Soul Hackers game called Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers was released on November 13, 1997 on the Sega Saturn. The game was a first-person dungeon crawler set in a cyberpunk Japan, where virtual reality is at the forefront of society.
The game would later be ported to the Nintendo 3DS many years later, and is widely recognized as one of the more unique titles from the Shin Megami Tensei and Devil Summoner series.
