Jack Frost's original character design makes a return!

In terms of story, Soul Hackers 2 is not connected at all to any of the Persona games.

However, Soul Hackers 2 has multiple similarities not just with Persona games, but with Shin Megami Tensei games as well, such as having the same recruitable Demons, a turn-based combat system, and the well-known Demon Fusion mechanic, to name a few.

Previous Persona and Shin Megami Tensei titles are referenced, however, in the form of DLC Costumes. These DLC Costumes feature special outfits worn by characters from the first Soul Hackers game, Persona 4 and 5, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and the Raidou Kuzonoha duology.
