Pokemon UNITE Walkthrough Comments
This things easy match ups should be expanded to melee attackers with low mobility / few dashes (azumarill, tyranitar, buzzwole ) because the slows from cotton spore + normal boosted attacks are hard for them to deal with. It doesnt even have to go "full offense" to pull it off either really ... The first move can be either. Only cotton spore is mandatory. It still works decent on guys who DO have multiple dashes by spending part of its high HP to make distance.
I got Eldegoss as my starting Pokemon, and I don't regret it. Even as a Supporter, it can be quite hard to take down, especially with Pollen Guard. It can be a supportive puff, or it can deal massive damage with Cotton Crash/Amp Energy. Your choice
This site just do not know how to play eldegoss. Best build is PP + CS. Item is exp share, bbarrier and rapidfire
Eldegoss is one of the Elite Pokemon where all moves are great. I prefer Pollen Guard, but Leaf Tornado/Cotton Spore are great too. Best support imo
Scope Lens for coordinated team
Gaurd and Poke Leaf Tornado Cotton Guard Muscle Band Rapid-Fire Scarf Buddy Barrier X Attack 7 Red 2 White 1 Any
Bad news! Tornado/Spore weren't buffed or given needed QoLs, so they're notably lacking. Only pick with buddies, not randos. Good news! The Basic Attack Slow/Dmg boost helps with leveling, as does the -1 sec CD for Pollen Puff. She even gets her Unite faster. She'll still have trouble leveling, but not 2 to 4 lvls behind type of trouble. Items: EXP Share/Wise Glasses. Then Buddy Barrier (bulk+support) or Muscle Band (more slows+dmg between CDs). Focus should be skipped, no more kamikazes.
should have Muscle Band as recommended
Yeah potion also exists
Eldegoss needs to be updated. It's healing output is so bad that it's fallen to B-tier due to many mons having insane self-heals. It's damage build is out played by others in the Supporter role due to nerfs/buffs.
Also during a fight you will most likely hit the opponent instead of your teammate instead if you go use pollen puff. (Most All-Rounders are melee-based, You (usually) go bottom with an all-rounder.)
Just kidding just kidding, anyways Leaf tornado works well with Score shield as you can just use its speed buff and then run away. also pollen puff sucks no joke, you dont do any damage (It does, but i doubt its noticeable.) Only good thing 'bout it is that it heals your teammates, but not that much, Go leaf tornado and cotton guard instead
ME!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Which one of you monsters uses cotton spore.
Just because indiebear runs it doesn't make it good. He literally dies many many times by running that move when he can't actually react to being out of position because Pollen Puff not only is not very impactful, it can literally take a half second to aim it behind you when autotarget prioritizes enemies in front of you. Area target is bad enough but Leaf Tornado is hilariously better at all points of the game in general beyond being superior Line Target.
It's not even a soloque/premade thing. Pollen Puff is just bad. Leaf Tornado is a significantly better damage mitigation tool both for actually surviving ganks and for shutting down autoattackers with the lvl 11 accuracy debuff. Pollen Puff has absolutely nothing that gamechanging and it's also plagued by Area Target which is a bad aiming system for reaction plays. Leaf Tornado also secures last hits and kills, which is of paramount importance at all points of the game.
I feel like lead tornado is better than pollen puff if you play solo ques like me If you have a team that u can talk with then pollen puff is more utility
I'm tired of everyone recommending Pollen Puff when that move is trash. It has way too much counterplay as an area target time bomb that's awful for any fast plays, and Leaf Tornado's movement speed bonus alone is a better damage mitigation tool in real games. Let's also not forget reaction last hits with Leaf Tornado, poke, initiating fights, and the 100% accuracy debuff after level 11 (actually broken given that can literally be thousands of points of damage Greninja isn't doing to your team)
Hi! Thank you so much for pointing this out. We fixed it just now.
