I was surprised for Act 9, I brought literally my best premium team (Neuvi team, signatures weapons on all, C2 on Furina) and still struggled a bit at first, I chose the pyro abyss mages and slimes, thinking with my team it would be a piece of cake, but I didn't realize I needed to focus only the mages that were the bounty units, and since they tend to not group at all, I had to restart it twice to place myself on the edge in order to get them group around me. Act 4, 8 and 9 were the hardest.
I just completed the visionary mode with 10 stella. I had 26 characters and ended up pulling all but Barbara. I restarted the whole thing once, having like 6 dendro, 1 pyro and 1 hydro to fight for the defense of the monolith it was a bit doomed... Next time went pretty smoothed, I focused on picking all my worst chars first, especially the worst main DPSes, and keeping the good sup/sub dps for the later stages and Iniquitous Baptist was weaker than expected (did it in 38s, my fastest stage).
I so much agree with this. People are so frustrated here. I haven't tried the visionary mode yet but this is a nice challenge. Randomization can be frustrating, but it's also a way to make you think about strats to beat the mode in any circumstance and on the go. With the iniquitous baptist at the end, this is gonna be hard though.

honestly even after reading through this whole page i still do not understand nearly enough to want to do this every month. The abyss is one thing, that is pretty straightfoward.. this is a mess. i do not have the energy to do something like this that limiting using a character only twice and not being able to use what you have and not even knowing how to gain all the rewards and use the diff mechanics. this is a nightmare. honestly. i really hate this more than anything theyve done before.
If you have required characters and have those characters well build that it is easy. When you do not have the all build then it is hard. Take in consideration that building characters in gensinh is RANDOM. Stats on artifacts are random. Someon have good luck and do not need to farm for a long time and someone have bad luck... i personally had to farm for artefacts for Arlechino for around a month everyfay to have "decent" artifacts...
How can I be good in Genshin when character building is based on RANDOMIZATION? What skills are needed to roll good random stats on artifacts?
If this mode isn't a total cake walk to you using Level 90 characters with at least level 8 talents, I don't know what to tell you, dawg, I think you might just be bad at Genshin.
This is the worst mode in the game! it specially limits you to crappy characters and doesn't let you create a powerful team, even with all characters level 90 and all at least level 8 talents, I can't go through this shit normally without anger, the game should be fun and not destroy my nerves
frustrating that even if I had resources to level every single character I owned I still wouldn't have enough of the element type to participate... yikes. If they do hydro requirement next season with there only being like 3 four star hydros it's going to be a nightmare.

No it's not, i have lvl80 chars with lvl80 weapons and 6/8 talents. I full stared it 2nd try. Do not bullshit yourself.
crazy how ppl r saying this was "too hard" or a "money grab". these rewards are goated asl and it was such an easy clear. if u cant clear at least act 6 its genuinely a skill issue. abyss is 100x as hard as this, and is the only thing I thin k does have a mon ey-grab aspect.
i am 80% sure it is nearly physically impossible to full star this thing

That's a bad take. Never upgrade random character. Most of them is trash and unfun to play.

"30% of the content in Genshin is incentive to play many different characters" is a liar. They just want us to use trash kit character. It's just their excuse to make bad design like dehya.
You can attempt harder difficulties, if you have a ton of purple XP books - the minimum character cap can be bypassed. I used this way: level random characters with the correct elements up to Lv. 60 to qualify, then the game will let you play the challenge. This technique relies on you being able to finish the run understaffed. I nearly managed to do it this way, you need to get a good run and character/boon drops.
