The Career Builder is the reworked tutorial for the Expanded and Enhanced Version of Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA Online). The game now lets you choose among four careers to start with, each with its unique properties and equipment. Read on to learn more about all the careers in GTA Online!
List of Contents
Gang up with up to seven other players and form your very own Motorcycle Club (MC). Start your Biker career by getting your very first Clubhouse and earn money through your illicit Businesses including making and selling drugs and creating forged documents.
As MC President, you'll manage your businesses using The Open Road. Keep your businesses well supplied by buying or stealing the materials you need and then selling the goods you produce by delivering them safely. Equipment and staff upgrades can also be purchased to shorten production time and make higher quality goods.
As a Biker, you can request to have a Motorcycle delivered to you at any time so you can keep riding in formation with the MC. Bikers can also take part in MC Work, Club Challenges, and Clubhouse Contracts to make more money and boost their reputation.
Grow your criminal empire by trading illegal cargo and vehicles. Get started by purchasing an Office and a Warehouse and become the CEO of your very own Organization.
As the CEO of your Organization, you'll use SecuroServ to purchase Special Cargo or Vehicle Cargo that must be picked up and delivered to your Warehouses. After getting enough stock, you can sell the Cargo through the Ad-Hawk network. Perform enough deliveries properly and you'll get access to special vehicles you can purchase later on.
Executives also get perks like being able to call a private helicopter to take them around or request an organization vehicle on demand. Exclusive jobs and challenges also await Executives looking to earn some extra cash and RP.
Gunrunners are highly lucrative arms dealers. They operate underground in Bunkers to create and sell weapons for a tidy profit. They can even kit out their Bunker with Upgrades such as a caddy, a shooting range, a gun locker, and personal quarters.
Gunrunner VIPs can manage their business through Disruption Logistics, where they can order supplies to purchase or steal and sell the stock produced later. From here, they can also purchase equipment and staff upgrades to speed up research and manufacturing times while improving the quality of the products.
Gunrunning isn't limited to the bunker. A Mobile Operations Center (MOC) can be purchased to open up even more benefits for Gunrunners. A Weapon and Vehicle Workshop can be fitted to upgrade weapons to their Mk II versions and attach weapons to vehicles. New missions are also unlocked with the MOC.
Nightclub Owners rule Los Santos' nightlife by attracting patrons and celebrities to their Nightclubs. Choose a suitable interior for your nightclub and let its popularity make you money.
Nightclubs live and die by their popularity. Nightclub Management helps keep it popular through Jobs that promote the club and help out the resident DJ. Upgrading the staff also helps maintain popularity.
While many Nightclub Owners run a legitimate business, others use it as a front for their Warehouse Management. These Warehouses have technicians that passively obtain goods from Biker, Executive, and Gunrunner businesses, as long as they own the relevant properties as well. Nightclub Owners can even get goods themselves through Business Battles.
The Nightclub Owner also has the unique ability to store the Terrorbyte, a truck that can serve as a nerve center to centralize managing all your businesses. It can be customized with a Drone Center and Weapons Workshop.
Choosing any of the Criminal Careers already gives a huge advantage to anyone starting out in GTA Online. While the Nightclub Owner seems great, it only truly shines later on once you acquire more Businesses. It's still a decent choice for beginners as it pays out good passive income provided popularity is kept high.
However, the Gunrunner stands out in particular when it comes to efficiently making money. Its missions are fairly straightforward and the Bunker doesn't require much maintenance or work to bring in plenty of cash.
To maximize the potential of the Gunrunner, it's best to deliver to Los Santos as goods sell for 50% more there. Picking a nearby Bunker like Chumash Bunker is recommended.
You'll also want one of the upgrades to improve your profitability. Upgrade Pack A already includes an Equipment Upgrade, and you can always buy the cheaper Staff Upgrade later.
If you follow these recommendations, you'll notice you won't have enough funds for the MOC. It's better to buy it later once you get access to more profitable Heists. Feel free to allocate the remainder of your cash to vehicles and weapons you want, but we recommend saving money here to have more cash to start with.
The Career Builder is a new GTA Online feature exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. Unlike the previous versions of the tutorial, new players are given $4,000,000 to headstart their careers.
Players must spend at least $3,000,000 of this money to buy a Property, related Upgrades or Businesses, and at least one vehicle and weapon each. The remainder is kept as the player's cash.
Every player gets to select a career only once per account, so think carefully before deleting your character. Fortunately, the other careers you didn't pick are also playable upon purchasing the relevant Properties.
The Career Builder is great for new and returning players alike as it gives everyone a chance to establish themselves in GTA Online. Unlike other versions of GTA Online, you no longer have to grind up to purchase a Property to even start making a fair amount of cash. Getting access to the very profitable Cayo Perico Heist is even faster with the Career Builder.
This can save a lot of time so you can spend more of it playing with your Friends and Crew. Even if you're playing solo, the Career Builder already headstarts your criminal enterprise so that you can use your money for the things you really want.
