>>1996 No. Most ff games are stand alone games. There are skme exceptions like sequel games to their own predecessor. (FF X TO FFX-2, FF XIII TO FF XIII2 THEN FF XIII LIGHTNING RETURNS). The game however, has several references to the original so you might want to play that first before this game but its not a must.

Hello everyone! Just wanna ask if you have to play all the previous final fantasy games before playing this one?

Hope u guys realize were not happy about the story changes for the next batch of ff7 players and not ourselves cause if u ask any veterans here, we are all happy to experience a new storytelling. But the new players wont experience the thing we once loved and thats what makes us sad. Put that i ur head.
