Competitive Analysis

Toxic Spikes inflicts poison on grounded opposing Pokemon on switch in, which excludes Flying-type Pokemon and those with the Levitate Ability.

Toxic Spikes can be applied twice -- on the first move it poison's opposing Pokemon on switch in, while on the second move it will badly poison opposing Pokemon on switch-in.

This move is recommended for use with stall and defensive teams that inflict different status conditions.
