Tethys Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (16) HP Superbane ★★★☆☆
Atk (17) Attack Bane ★★★★☆
Spd (9) No Spd IV ★★★★★
Def (4) Def Boon ★★☆☆☆
Res (6) No Res IV ★★★☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Def

The best IVs for Tethys are +Spd and -Def. With a Spd stat, Tethys' Spd will reach 38. She might not be able to score lots of follow-up attacks at that level, but it allows her to take less follow-up attacks from foes thus increasing her survivability. Her Def is of less importance and she is a built as a semi-magic wall anyway so it is the best bane she can take.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Tethys to 10. With +10 merges, her Spd will reach 42 which allows her to score follow-up attacks on some foes. It also improves her survivability as she will take less follow-up attacks from foes. If you have skills that an improve her Spd, you can go for a +Atk IV instead.

Tethys is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Tethys Strengths

Refreshes her allies' actions

Dance is an assist skill that allows the target ally to take another action. Because of this, your allies can move and attack twice to take down foes, or attack and move back to the safe zone so that they won't be taken out during the enemy phase. It has high strategic value and it allows Tethys to become a part of many team compositions.

Converts Enemy Bonuses to Damage

In addition to the normal debuffing effects of a dagger, The Cleaner+ adds the total bonuses on a foe to Tethys' damage. This makes Tethys a good match-up to team compositions that run skills like Atk Tactic 3 or Hone Cavalry. She and her allies can easily take said teams out even before they put those good buffs to use.

Gains a Spd and Res boost when an ally is adjacent

Tethys' Spd/Res Bond gives her +5 Spd and Res when an ally is in an adjacent space. This bonus only applies during combat, meaning that other buff skills can stack, and it will not make Tethys susceptible to the effects of skills like Panic Ploy.

Level up Dagger Allies with Dagger Exp.

Her C skill Dagger Exp. is useful for training other units. As long as she survives, dagger allies gain extra exp., meaning she can help you train allies more efficiently. This is great as she is a dancer! She is a perfect training partner for all dagger units!

Tethys Weaknesses

Low Def

Tethys' Def only sits at 23 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Tethys' positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take her out.
