Double Dragon Revive Gameplay

According to the developers, the game will be a belt-scroll 2D action arcade game with 3D elements. However, it aims to go beyond traditional belt-scroll mechanics by incorporating freer, high-speed movement.

Your character can perform basic attacks, which are close-range, fast-paced moves that can be chained together into combo strings. Each character also has unique attacks with distinct traits and elemental damage types, such as sending enemies flying.

Additionally, all characters can execute grab actions, immobilizing enemies temporarily to unleash powerful attacks. These grabs can involve throwing enemies into others or using environmental objects as weapons.

The game also features three special attack types: Blow, Hyper Blow, and Mid-Air Hyper Blow, as well as a Finishing Blow.

⚫︎ Hyper Blow: Functions as a defensive mechanic, allowing you to withstand attacks and counter effectively, especially when surrounded by enemies.

⚫︎ Mid-Air Hyper Blow: Executes a rapid descent from the air, creating a shockwave that sends enemies flying if performed from a high enough altitude.

⚫︎ Finishing Blow: A powerful attack dealing massive damage to all nearby enemies, but it consumes 100% of the Dragon Orb Gauge.

Players can utilize parkour and dynamic swinging jumps, breaking away from the usual 4-directional constraints. Stage mechanics, including insta-kill opportunities, further enhance the intensity of the gameplay.

The game will still feature interactable objects, power-ups, weapons, and the like. Aside from that, the game’s graphics are also made into a modern 3D graphics style using Unreal Engine.

Dragon Gauge

Image

The Dragon Orb Gauge fills automatically based on the player's actions, but simply attacking won't fill it up quickly. To increase the gauge, you'll need to maintain combos without taking damage, utilize various weapons and environmental tools, and perform special techniques.

Critical Assault

Critical Assault is a counterattack that can be executed by responding promptly and correctly to an enemy's action. Successfully performing a Critical Assault grants you extra Dragon Orb Gauge and stuns the enemy.
