Turns Hydro Pump and Water Spout into AoE damaging moves. |
Grants immunity to all hindrances. |
Has the user spin rapidly, dealing damage over time to nearby opposing Pokemon. Changes the mechanics of the user's basic attacks as well as its Hydro Pump and Water Spout moves. Using this move resets the cooldown of Hydro Pump or Water Spout. While this move is in effect, the user becomes immune to hindrances. In addition, the user's next basic attack after this move ends becomes a boosted attack.
Don't hesitate to use Rapid Spin to steal boss Pokemon from the enemy since you are unstoppable while spinning. However, only dive in if the boss Pokemon is low on HP, preferably below 50% HP.
If you have Water Spout, use it while spinning to deal massive damage.
You can use Rapid Spin to chase enemies even when inside the lane flux zones. You won't be affected by the slow since you have the hindrance resistance status effect. If you have Eject Button equipped, you can use it during Rapid Spin to stay on top of your target.
Alternatively, you can also use Rapid Spin to steal yellow berries from the enemy's side.
Although Rapid Spin is mostly an offensive move, it does have defensive capabilities due to the unstoppable status effect it gives. You can use Rapid Spin to escape pursuing enemies without fear of debuffs.
However, it is important to know that certain moves can still disable you even while spinning, such as Telekinesis and Slowbeam; it does not stop you from spinning but it does prevent you from moving.
You can end Rapid Spin early to enable you to do other things like scoring or recalling.
