Kuja Boss Battle Guide

Details

Kuja uses magical attacks but do not use Reflect as this will cause Kuja to use Flare Star which can make your life harder.

Moveset

Alternates between Thundaga and Demi. Kuja will also use Flare Star if any of your characters have reflect applied to them.

Strategy

The Light Robe can be synthesized soon, but is a great piece of equipment, so stealing it is recommended, but extremely time consuming. Follow the same strategy as with Garland, having a character focus on healing Kuja's target (Kuja only uses single target magics) while Zidane steals Kuja's items.

If Vivi is in the party, have him repeatedly use Focus while the last character uses items to replenish everyone's MP with Ethers. Having the abilities Return Magic, Mag Elem Null, Man Eater, and Bandit are highly recommended for this fight.
