That's what I thought too. I was scared of getting close to them at first but then I noticed nothing is happening to my bros, they just get stopped and burned occasionally

1073 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Lucky for you you only lost 10 minutes. Others lost hours of gameplay for not saving frequently

1072 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

really?? i always thought tonberries have instant kill and that's why we dun wanna encounter them

1071 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

cool.. so will ribbon be available in the remake? something to think about again..

1070 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

I wonder how will tonberries fight in the remake? The tonberries in XV just inflicts burn and stop, no instant kill

1069 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

HAHAHA dude SAVEEEEE lol I had this one time when I have to repeat almost 10 mins part of the story + a battle because em a dead meat and forgot to save. please don't idolize me.

1068 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Ribbons are malboro's bane. If you have them on, your only problem is how hard they hit and their health pool

1067 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

I have experienced this a lot of times already. Confidently rushing through enemies then unexpectedly die against some stupid enemy before thinking "When did I last save?"

1066 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

i can name other enemies i don't want to encounter,, ohh especially malboro..

1065 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Dude agree! Playing FFs, I learn that saving is the key for fast game. You don't want to drag the game too long. If you didn't save, you don't pretty much have a choice but run your recent save game and that's terrible.

1064 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

HAHAHHA true you should always be ready.. not only against this type of enemy but having several saves in this game is a must.. since there are several tough enemies and bosses in your way as you progress

1063 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

ohh thought they would be immune or something

1062 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Yeah you could potentially lose a lot of your progress if you didn't save for a while

1061 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Status ailments? IIRC you can paralyze or stop them

1060 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

yah.. i remembered tifa. she's pale as a ghost in the movie..

1059 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

the image burns when he's dancing with a guy in the club

1058 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

this type of enemy you don't wanna encounter randomly

1057 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

flex trap cloud ;D

1056 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

yahh this guy's total killer

1055 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

what are tonberries weakness anyway?? when i fought one i think i was attacking blindly.. ;lol so i just keep using normal attacks - it's easy to kill since.. i guess i have much higher level. XD

1054 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

You should also watch out for their counterattacks. Master tonberry's counterattack deals damage depending on how many enemies its target have killed

1053 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Can't remember but they walk two steps each turn then use knife when your party is in range. Tonberries normally has a lot of hp but yeah you should kill it before it comes too close

1052 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

how many steps until they bring instant death? aren't tornberries come closer at every step.. Need to strike it down before it comes too close.

1051 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

have to also point out the lighting effect.. coz when in movies, they would really go for soft light while the game have sharp lighting.. it just creates the sharp or strong vibe because the actions are more evident in game..

1050 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Ridiculous amount of health + instant death per attack

1049 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

kinda agree... perfect description for them. lol

1048 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

Tonberries are CUTE killers. One of the most iconic monsters in the franchise

1047 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

evidently, there are upgrades here and there especially with the graphics. and, since this a game, it will be different. we also have different pov. In game, we'll experience interacting with the characters and feels like the animation aspect feels much more alive.

1046 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

I can't wait to see the Omnislash or, for that matter, the other animations. It'll be sweeter this time around, I reckon

1045 Anonymousover 4 yearsReport

I do hope it's the same voice actors. Maybe they did remember to bring them back or not. I hope that's the case, though.
