To enjoy the game, you really need to know what happened in the original. The complaint here is mostly for the new players that wont be able to enjoy it if they didnt play the original. Another problem are the future entries. It might be exciting to have an unknown future for ff7 but it is also terrifying since there is the chance that they can ruin a good story. Otherwise, everything else is great!

>>1881 It is similar to how marvel operates. It is a new chapter, a reboot with alot of fanservice to the old game. The Whispers are a big hint to it and how they operate. They a a nice meta reference. I do now why they did it, but doesn't mean I would like to have it more true to the original. Still a really good game. It just is another Phase of the FF7-Vers.

Ehhhhh gotta disagree with people. This is by no means a remake as much as it is a retelling, and the people they’re retelling the story to are people who have played the original. The game is enjoyable if you accept that this is really just a “what if we have Nomura the plot of FF7 and let him run wild” but it’s not even a remotely similar game especially since you can’t even make it out of Midgard - ie filler that never happened

Played this in big screen with surround sound system. Its fantastic and gave me chills! 10 out of 10!
