Encore Competitive Analysis

Encore is a utility move that is most often ran by support Pokemon. This move forces the target to only be able to use the last move it used for three turns.

This effect is quite strong and is mostly targeted towards sweepers that uses a setup move. For example, Xerneas usually uses Geomancy at the start of each battle, you can use Encore in order to shackle Xerneas into using only Geomancy.
