Yep. They don't need to add these as options, though.

Most games have that in their game and they're not in the settings or options. I don't think it's relevant to add them to the settings.

Knowing about this, I think it would be great if they add these difficulty settings in the game!

What?! The only difficulty modes that I know in RE4 are NORMAL AND PROFESSIONAL. WHAT ARE THESE

    9 Anonymousabout 4 yearsReport

so that's how it is. why are you so knowledgeable about that. usually i just play and finish it. and savor every moment with nemesis lol

I didn't notice this either. They actually made the game more balanced I guess?

    7 Anonymousabout 4 yearsReport

If you did not notice it, then it did it's job well. And the reason why you didn't hear about it is because the game nor Capcom ever mentions it. The point is to make the player feel like the game is neither too easy nor too hard, essentially putting them into "The Zone" or the flow state.

Oh what? I never noticed that when i played that game. Why haven't i heard about it until now? It's a pretty smart system if you ask me.

RE4 had something called adaptive difficulty or dynamic difficulty. If you are good at the game, i.e., dodging attacks and hitting your shots, the game will make itself harder. Usually by making enemies do more damage and making resources more scarce. On the other hand, if you keep getting hurt and dying, the game will make itself easier. It will make some enemies not spawn, be more generous with loot and other stuff like that.

Adaptive difficulty? What the hell is that? There's always been some sort of difficulty you can pick before playing through the game, but i never heard of adaptive difficulty.

    3 Anonymousabout 4 yearsReport

Is this the games version of adaptive difficulty? Or will there still be the adaptive difficulty the game is known for on top of this?

    2 Anonymousabout 4 yearsReport

Agreed. Some people don't really have the skill to play a difficult game, like this. Adding an option will really introduce this game to a lot of new players.

I know some fan boys would complain that making it too easy would not make it an RE game. But i think having the choice to make it easier would make it more approachable for a wider audience.
