This map has no refresher enemies and all the enemies are grouped up together, with one enemy within striking distance on turn one, making this a great map for a Hit-and-Run strategy.
A ranged cavalry unit can reach and attack the Lance Fighter on turn one, potentially defeating him right away. After defeating the Lance Fighter, use refresher assists and movement assists like Reposition or Draw Back to pull your units to safety, away from the danger area.
The enemies will then approach you, but are unable to reach any of your units. You can then use the next few turns to pick them off at your leisure.
Alternatively, you can use a Galeforce strategy to clear the map on the first turn, preventing Validar from inflicting his various debuffs onto your team.
Set up your initiator unit with recoil skills and begin your assault on the Lance Fighter. Use skills that generate additional actions, such as Duo Skills or refresher assists, and continue attacking until your initiator unit falls into the Wings of Mercy range. Your other allies can then warp in and clear the rest of the map from there.
Tank strategies are also viable on this map, but require careful teambuilding as both Validar and the Troubadour can easily inflict multiple debuffs onto your entire team. Once your entire team is riddled with 【Penalty】 statuses, Validar can hit hard with Grimleal Text and potentially defeat even your dedicated tank unit.
If you have Freyr, he excels on this map by neutralizing all 【Penalty】 effects on your team on both phases using Dream Deliverer, rendering Validar useless. With Freyr on your team, just proceed with your enemy phase strategy as if you're dealing with generic enemies, as none of them will hit hard enough to break through your tanks.
If you have Elimine, equip her with the Phantom Res 3 Sacred Seal and position her on the same column as Validar. Her Staff of the Saint can shut down Grimleal Text, rendering Validar useless. The Troubadour can still trigger Atk/Res Ploy 3 though, so prepare accordingly.
If you have neither of these units, equip your tank with as much bulk as possible, even foregoing damage if you have to, in order to withstand attacks from multiple foes. Bring along a dedicated offensive unit with post-combat movement and use that unit to burst down Validar as soon as possible, then retreat back to the safety of your other units.
