When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-HP

Cath has above average Spd stat so taking advantage of the superboon on it would allow her to score follow-up attacks on a wide range of units. HP is of less importance so a bane in it is very safe. Be warned, though, as this is a superbane.

+Spd for a +10 merge

This is for the same reasons as above. Scoring follow-up attacks on opponents would be very valuable. She might even be able to take out some foes especially if she's equipped with premium skills such as Lethality.

How to Use, Explanation

This build maximizes Cath's Atk and Spd to deal as much damage as possible. Atk/Spd Menace debuffs foes, buffs Cath, and activates Atk/Spd Ideal, making it a great C skill. Null Follow-Up disables skills that prevent Cath's follow-up attacks, which she will almost always perform with her impressive Spd.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build which aims to activate Desperation in order to perform consecutive attacks. Double Fury increases the recoil damage in order to activate Desperation faster.

Cath is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Here are the effects of this useful weapon:

Combined with her native buffs listed below, she can run a support role against armored lineups or lineups that use skills like Desperation 3, Frenzy 3, or Vantage 3.

Can stack stats simply by using Reposition on an ally

Atk/Res Bond's buffs are seen above.

By using her native Reposition, Cath both meets the trigger conditions of:

• Atk Res/Bond 3 which gives her +5 Atk/Res
• Spd/Res Link 3 which gives her, and her targeted ally +6 Spd/Res

This makes her a great matchup against magic units, especially if she can score the follow-up attack that Spd/Res Link helps with. If she Repositions a refresher-assist unit that has not taken an action yet, said unit can refresh Cath so she can initiate combat with all her stat boosts!

Link skills are also activated when Cath is targeted by a movement-assist skill. In this case, Reposition is ideal so that Bond is still kept online. After that, she can utilize her boosts by simply attacking!

Cath as a Source Hero

All of Cath's skills can be inherited, but she should be fodderred off for her signature Armorpin Dagger+. It's basically a more accessible version of Sky Maiougi+. It's more accessible because Cath is available in the regular hero pool and Hoshidan Summer Ryoma is only on specific banners.
