Items with a higher Star Quality sell for a higher price in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. Learn how to increase the Star Quality of your items, why you should increase it, how to prevent items from quickly decaying, and other information in this guide!
How to Increase Star Quality
Improve Nature Sprite Level for Forageables, Fish, and Bugs
Upon meeting the Nature Sprites from Spring 13, and unlocking the Sprite Levels system from their house found in the far southeast of Zephyr Town via a glider from Spring 19, you can now share Forageables, Fish, Bugs, and more to the Nature Sprites.
Doing so will level up their Sprite Levels, which increases the obtained Star Quality of a particular type of item. Raising Ivy's level for example boosts all Forageables' quality the next time you obtain them!
Use Fertilizers on Crops
You need to regularly use Fertilizers on crops to increase their Star Quality. Use Fertilizer on your crops at least once a day.
Water Twice A Day
Crops can also be watered twice a day to increase growth speed!
Use the Storage House
The Star Quality of crops decreases over time . Slow this down by storing your harvested crops in the Storage House. You can talk to Wilbur in the Bazaar to increase the capacity of your Storage House!

Opening up Garon's Bazaar shop at Bazaar Rank 3 enables you to buy the better farmlands upgrade, which slightly increases the quality of your crops!
Raise Friendship Level with Animals
To improve the items produced by your animals, you need to increase your Friendship Level with them. Earn Friendship Points with your animals by brushing them, talking and interacting with them, ringing your bell, and leaving them outside for at least 2 hours during a Sunny or Cloudy day.
You can also enter an Animal Festival and earn plenty of Friendship Points if they make it to the Top 3, and winning the Animal Show will unlock 6-star quality!
Adapt Recipes to Increase Food Yield and Quality
To improve the quality of your Food Recipes, try adding ingredients under the Adapt Recipes slots! For example, a Honey Juice made by a 1.5 star quality Honey will become 3 star quality if it's been adapted with high 2-star Yogurts!

Why Increase Star Quality
Higher Prices
Items with a higher Star Quality sells for a much better price when sold either at the bazaar or to another merchant during normal days. If you want to quickly reach the target profit, it is better to sell items with higher Star Quality during the bazaar.

Produces Better Items
Using 5-star or 4-star items to cook or craft materials with the windmills increases the chances of creating 5-star items. Don't worry about using high Star Quality items to cook or craft since it will lead to better results.
