You will need to check all heart scenes until Level 8 that appear on the map on certain occassions. If they have an pink or orange exclamation point above their heads in the map, those are the scenes that you have to look out!
Sometimes you will need to advance a related character's heart level like Jules for Derek in order to progress. Make sure to talk to all villagers related to them!
How to Increase Friendship Level

Before you lovebirds move to one abode, you will need a bed that you both can fit! The Double-Bed Upgrade is unlocked from Bazaar Rank 4 onwards from Wilbur's Expansion shop during Bazaar Days.

You can only propose to your spouse after getting the Blue Feather, which will be given to you on by Stuart and Sonia once you have reached around 8 hearts and completed the Heart Event relating to it.
If your proposal is accepted while you are dating other Villagers, your relationship with the others will demote to Trusted Friend.

You are allowed to cross-dress as well as change your hairstyle and hair color. The options for your hairstyle and hair color are the same as the default selection.

Your wedding will take up the whole day! If your wedding day happens to land on a Bazaar day, you will be asked the night before if you want to progress the story or to open your shop.

Can You Marry the Same Gender?
Your partner will move in with you after your marriage! You can now easily enjoy daily interactions with your partner.
Your wedding rings will become a memento which you can display on your shelf at home.
