Increase your Friendship Points with villagers to unlock certain events and marriage in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. Find out how to increase friendship points and how to check your relationship with the villagers in this guide!

How to Increase Friendship Points
Talk and Greet With Them
The best way to earn Friendship Points is by being a friendly neighbor and talking to the villagers everyday.
Greet Many Villagers at Once
Say hello to all the villagers in your vicinity at once by pressing Greet. However, greeting multiple villagers will earn you less Friendship Points compared to talking to them one by one.

Give Them Gifts
Aside from talking to them, you can also give gifts to villagers to increase your Friendship Points. Give them their favorite gifts to earn more Friendship Points.

Gain more Friendship Points from a single gift by wrapping it. You can wrap a gift by going to the wrapping booth at the bazaar and paying 200 G for each gift you want wrapped. Gift wrapping is unlocked from a request from Joy once you reach Bazaar Rank 3!
Each villager has a Favorite color. Pick their favorite color as a gift wrap to increase your Friendship Points.
Give Gifts During Birthdays
Always remember the birthdays of the characters, especially those of romanceable characters. You will gain a lot of Friendship Points if you give them a gift on their birthday.
Avoid Disliked Gifts
Some gifts, rather than increasing Friendship Points, will negatively affect your relationship with a villager. Make sure to avoid these gifts that will decrease your Friendship Points with a villager.

Unlock Requests to Progress Further
When a character reaches a certain heart level, getting more Friendship Points will halt and you will need to do a favor in order to unlock them. These are called Requests!
Some characters will have different requests like catching bugs, obtaining a number of animal byproducts and more. Completing them will unlock the next set of hearts.
Befriend their Related Characters
Sometimes a Bachelor or Bachelorette will require a specific character for you to befriend in order to progress their heart level. Try to raise these characters alongside your chosen Bachelor or Bachelorette just in case!
Benefits of Raising Friendship With Villagers
Unlocks Events
You need to reach certain Friendship Points to unlock some events in the game, including Heart Events with romanceable characters. Some Heart Events also require you to increase your Friendship Points with the family member of a romanceable character.
Unlocks Marriage
Once you reach a certain number of Friendship Points with a marriage candidate and their family members, you can propose to the romanceable character.
How to Check Relationship With Villagers
Check Resident Info
You can check your relationship and your Friendship Points with the villagers by checking your the Resident Info from your menu. The number of colored hearts beside their profile shows the status of your relationship.
You can also check whether you have spoken or given a gift to the resident.
