Charges power before striking in the designated direction with a fierce blow. The user's next basic attack after using this move becomes a boosted attack. While the user is charging, its movement speed is decreased, but it receives reduced damage and becomes immune to hindrances. If the user charges power for a set amount of time or longer before striking, it deals damage to opposing Pokemon in an area of effect. The lower the opposing Pokemon's remaining HP is, the more damage is dealt. Opposing Pokemon in the center of the area of effect receive a critical hit and are shoved. If the user does not charge power for that set amount of time, it deals damage to opposing Pokemon in an area of effect, decreasing their movement speed, and this move's cooldown is reduced.
Always charge Wicked Blow first before hitting targets. This will increase its damage and trigger bonus effects. The bonus effects can be utilized in various ways to make Urshifu more effective.
Note: You don't have to fill the entire gauge to deal the maximum damage and apply the bonus effects. You just need to fill it up to the line in the gauge or once you see the move's range expand. |
Remember that you can move while charging Wicked Blow, allowing you to get into position or stick to your target before unleashing a devastating punch.
On top of being able to move while charging, Urshifu also becomes Unstoppable and receives reduced damage, making it easier to deal damage without getting interrupted by disables. Alternatively, you can also utilize these effects to buy you enough time to escape safely.
List of Status Effects: Buffs and Debuffs
Try to hit targets at the center of the move or directly in front of Urshifu. Doing so guarantees a critical-hit while knocking targets back.
One way to utilize Wicked Blow's knockback effect is by shoving enemies towards your allies or walls. The damage they received should be more than enough for your allies to quickly take out the targets. You can also use it to push back opponents who are chasing you, giving you enough space and time to escape.
Use Wicked Blow on targets with low HP. You'll have a higher chance to knock them out them since Wicked Blow's damage increases the lower the target's HP is.
1.8.1.6 | Damage reduction while charging decreased from 30% to 20%. (-10%) Wicked Blow +: Damage reduction while charging decreased from 60% to 40%. (-20%) |
---|---|
1.8.1.3 | Fixed a bug where Wicked Blow executes with the maximum charge without actually charging the move up. |
