Brave Bird Effect

Brave Bird In-Game.jpg

Has the user dive to the designated location while cloaked in flame, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect. Also deals recoil damage to the user when it hits. Performing a boosted attack within a set amount of time after this move hits will reset the cooldown for Flame Charge or Aerial Ace.

How to Use Brave Bird

Follow Up with Aerial Ace or Flame Charge

Pokemon UNITE - Talonflame Using Brave Bird and Aerial Ace Combo

Brave Bird is an extremely aggressive move that sacrifices Talonflame's HP for potentially more damage. After diving back into the ground, you will do slight damage to yourself and mark enemies with an icon above their head. The next boosted attack you deal on a marked enemy will reset the cooldown of Aerial Ace or Flame Charge. This means you can chain them together to get massive amounts of burst on a single target

The damage you deal to yourself is minimal for the amount of damage you can deal in a quick combo. Get this move if you don't have any problems with the enemy team disabling you or if they aren't tanky Pokemon.

Steal Objectives

Pokemon UNITE - Talonflame Stealing Dreadnaw with Brave Bird

Take advantage of Brave Bird's long range to survey the area and potentially steal Boss Pokemon from a distance. It is best to line up the move from afar and release it when the objectives HP is near depleted. It may take a bit of practice to get the overall timing right, but pulling it off is worth it, especially if the opposing team did most of the damage to take the objective.
