Choosing the Best Team |
---|
|
The Monsties and Monsters you encounter in the game will have different Tendencies or attack types, these include Power, Speed, and Technical. Having Monsties with varying tendencies in your team helps you handle the different monsters you will encounter during your playthrough. Since Monsties attack on their own, it's crucial to consider their Tendencies.
You can easily switch your lead Monstie, should you encounter an enemy that your are weak against.
All Monsties and Monsters List
It is best to have a team that lets you progress through the main story with little to no difficulty. A good team is a combination of Monsties with strong stats, useful skills, different tendencies, and diverse Riding Actions, which allow you to navigate inaccessible areas. You can swap out Monsties you no longer need for better ones that you can find whenever you head into a new region in-game.
When building your team, consider the availability of Monsties. It's best to choose Monsties that are easier to obtain to ensure a smoother progression. Avoid relying too heavily on Monsties that are difficult to find or require significant effort to acquire.
The best team for early game includes Velocidrome, Arzuros, and Blue Yian Kut-Ku. They're all relatively easy to obtain early in the game. This accessibility means you can form a strong and balanced team without having to wait too long or grind excessively.
The combat balance between speed (Velocidrome), power (Arzuros), and technical (Blue Yian Kut-Ku) attacks ensures you are well-prepared for a variety of battles. This balance, combined with their Riding Actons, makes your team versatile in both combat and navigation early in the game.

Pondry Hills is one of the earliest locations where you can encounter Arzuros. Look for its eggs in the monster dens here.

As it levels up, it also learns Peck Onslaught, another powerful move that makes it one of the strongest Monsties early in the game.
Blue Yian Kut-Ku can be encountered in Pondry Hills. Look for this early game powerhouse Monstie's egg in gold monster dens!
