To hatch eggs, you must first finish the quest All in One Basket, where you find a monster egg and bring it back to the village.

All Other amiibo

All other amiibo provide consumables such as Max Potions, Nulberry Elixirs, Surrogate Gems, and Vital Essence among others.

Do Zelda amiibos Have Rewards?

Despite the collaboration between Monster Hunter Stories and Legend of Zelda, Zelda amiibo only provide random consumables, such as those listed earlier.

How to Scan amiibo on Nintendo Switch

The amiibo functionality becomes available during the All in One Basket quest early in the game.

Here are the steps to unlock amiibo in Monster Hunter Stories:

1	At the beginning of All in One Basket quest, Dan instructs you to visit the Prayer Pot.
2	Interact with the Prayer Pot and select amiibo.
3	Touch the amiibo to the NFC touchpoint. On the Joy-Con, the NFC touchpoint is located on the right control stick. On the Pro Controller, the NFC touchpoint is located over the Nintendo Switch logo at the top-center of the controller.
4	Remove the amiibo from the NFC touchpoint as instructed.
5	You will receive your reward and be prompted to save your game. Confirm by selecting "yes" and save your progress.

Please note that you need to complete the All in One Basket quest to hatch any Monstie egg.
