Monster Eggs can be obtained from any Monster Den that you can find in the field.
Monster Dens usually spawn randomly in every location on the map except for cities and towns. However, there are monster dens that are fixed in certain locations.
There are different kinds of dens in the game:
You can easily locate a Monster Den if you see a little stone cave on the field. A Monster Den notification will pop up in the upper left corner of your screen as you approach it.
You can also get a specific Monster Egg from fixed Monster Dens. Fixed Monster Dens usually have an egg on top of the little cave.
You can locate a fixed Monster Den by progressing through the story quests, using Paintball on a monster before you defeat it, or when a Monster flees after you defeat it in battle.
Just like with fixed Mosnter Dens, you can get regular monster eggs from regular monster dens. The only difference these dens have from fixed ones is that they aren't set in a fixed location.
These dens randomly spawn in the game.
If you're looking for rare eggs, you should be on the lookout for golden monster dens.
These dens spawn rarely but they give you better eggs. You'll have to fight a strong monster before you get to the eggs though, so be prepared to fight!
You can easily locate a rare monster den by looking for a little golden cave.
When looking for eggs, you should always go for the heavier and smellier ones.
Light eggs will produce few gene slots compared to heavy eggs that produce a lot of gene slots.
Odorless eggs, on the other hand, will produce poor genes for the Monstie. Smelly eggs will produce rarer genes for them, and the good smelling eggs will produce the best genes for any Monstie.
When getting a Monster Egg from a Monster Den, you always need to listen to what Navirou says about the egg you got. The dialogue that Navirou will say will determine how rare the Monster Egg is.
Upon entering the Egg Nest, Navirou will tell you either how normal or dangerous the monster guarding the eggs will be and this will also determine how good the quality of the eggs its guarding.
