Yelan works better for different things than furina. She buffs damage and adds some crazy good hydro application to when your dps attacks. Furina has a better buff and does really good damage but her hydro application is kind of slow and it does it's own thing attacking. They are both hydro sub dps and buffers but they aren't really competing with each other for the slot since they work better with different teams.
Pfft the Yelan cope is reaching new levels with this placement being an entire tier above Nahida and in the same tier as Furina, Lauma and Escoffier.

Why isn't she listed as a support unit as well as a sup dps? Her A4 Passive clearl states that it "grants your active character dealing 1% more DMG o long as an Exquisite Throw is in play. This increase by a further 3.5% DMG every second. The maximum increase in DMG dealt is 50%." Can someone explain to me what's going on?
C6 Xingqiu - a bit more Hydro app (good for hyperbloom), has that pseudo-shield. Yelan - gives your active character a damage buff, shorter cooldown (good for Raiden).
genuinely asking, what's the difference with her and c6 xq? Is it really worth to pull for yelan?
thanks, i'm planning to use her in hyperbloom team since my tighnari can't keeping up with current contents. I have nahida kuki xingqiu, pulling yelan might be a good choice
if you’re looking for a generalist support that slots best into arlecchino vape or ayaka freeze teams, she’s definitely still worth it. works nicely with alhaitham hyperbloom too, gives buffs, great sub-dps potential. she falls off a lil compared to furina or generalist buffers (xilonen, kazu) but very viable with normal attackers and might be a future member of skirks premium team since she will be partial to freeze and one of her playstyles involves normal attacking. hope this helps!
is she still worth it? I'm planning to pull for her since I lost my 50/50 on Escoffier banner
I wish I pull her, didn't know she can buff on field character. That's insane lol.
