Daguerreo Walkthrough

Daguerreo is a hidden location that can be accessed with an Airship or a Sky Chocobo. There are several things you can do inside Daguerreo which will be discussed below.

Fixing the Elevator

The elevator can be fixed on the left side of Daguerreo. You must first examine the book on the upper side of the elevator. Flick the switch to make the upper most elevator's elevation low to stand on it. Now make the lower platform's elevation low then examine the hole. Take it then insert it into the hole to fix the elevator.

Treasuse Hunter Rank

Your Treasure Hunter Rank will increase based on the amount treasures you have collected. This includes treasure chests, hidden items, and the items obtained from Chocographs or by using Dead Peppers.

Daguerreo's Weapon Shop

There are several weapons that can be purchased in Daguerreo. It is incredibly helpful to buy equipment here as soon as possible. The Rune Blade and the Obelisk as well as the Gladius and Zorlin Shape are purchaseable. Be warned, these weapons will no longer be available once you enter Disc 4.

Daguerreo's Synthesis Shop

The same as the Weapon Shop, the Synthesis Shop in Daguerreo offers several equipments that can greatly aid in your travels. One of the most useful weapons to craft is Sargatanas which can inflict Petrification with Zidane's Soulblade.

Aquamarine Maker

Pressing the button near the debating sales clerk will trigger a mechanism in the door on the ground floor of Daguerreo. This machine will convert any Ore you have in posession into Aquamarines. The ratio required to make an Aquamarine is 4 ores to 1 Aquamarine.

Capricorn

The Capricorn Stellazio can also be found near the entrace to the right before reaching the Synthesis expert from the ground area of Daguerreo. For more information about the Stellazio Side Quest, see the link below.
