I'm enjoying it too and I've played the first game. I mean, enjoy it for what it is. It probably was meant to bring in new fans, after all
Anyone who have gotten far and defeat the boss Failed Experiment?
Guess you're right. There could've been sections of Midgar that were fleshed out and introduced instead of focusing on a character like Jessie
I know there are always gonna be those who would rather play the old game, but the negativity in this thread sucks. Just enjoy the game for crying out loud
Spoilers ALWAYS spoil the fun, man. Haven't you learned? But well, Square's trying to go for something different indeed
I don't know, maybe they're trying to go for something different there. Have yet to play the game, though, so don't take my word for it
Are the odd jobs important? Will it affect the story? If so, how and how much will it affect the main story?
I agree. You've got your purists, and then you've got people invested in trying the remake out. It's a good game either way
Well, think of part 1 as just a teaser or experiment of sorts. By part 2 they should know what works and what doesn't
I'm having a hard time to digest what I've learned about the ending, too. I don't like to spoil it. They just change unnecessary things in a general sense, not the ending alone. When they change something, I always always want it to reasonable but I can't come up with a reason as to why it had to be that way.
I believe there's a boss fight strategy section here. Might be good to check that out too, if you've got time
But, I also suggest for you to play the original. Though, you have the choice not to. Why do I recommend you to play the original game? It's the story. If you're a great fan of game stories, this is the way to go. You can probably tell people are disappointed with the story in the remake for it didn't serve justice to the original. But, if as you say, you enjoy the game-play and that might be the reason you're here then I won't force you. Just an honest recommendation.
Agree. If you want to have their respective materia, you can freely summon them. I'm telling you, it's worth a try. They have a guide here for the bosses. https://game8.co/games/Final-Fantasy-VII-Remake/archives/278548
you may or may not do so.
yeah, they talk about spoilers freely there. you can always check it out. if you're up for getting spoiled, that is.
I recommend you defeat the optional bosses.
The odd jobs are missable? Too lazy AF to even complete these but gotta do so...
I think they have a spoiler forum here. People can check it out. Maybe, players from that side can provide you some answers.
God annoying boss fights!!! Good thing they have some good stuff here. Gotta learn strategies to defeat these scoundrels!
I think Square's handling of things is pretty applaudable. Spoilers will spoil the fun. For the heck of it!
Now, I don't want to see the ending. Been a fan of Final Fantasy games and I'm really not a fan of remakes. I still play though for graphics sake. Nothing more, nothing less. Just to see the evolution of graphics.
You're free to explore your choices, play the remake, the original or both. Depends on you.
I agree with the breathtaking scenery. I like the game but I can't help stopping on tracks just to get a feel of some places. Can admire places all day instead of playing the game.
They did tons of effort here. Not only in art sense. But, I'm not sure about the story : [ Can't help but think how they end up thinking of giving Jessie lots of screen time. Like, in what sense? Where did they get the idea?
yeah exactly, we know how much effort they put here, for the love of art
Please. We all know what remake we want from the bottom of our hearts. Lets be honest with ourselves.
I'll probably do that but.. not sure, will probably eat what's on my plate for now. Enjoying the game so far.
Please, for the love of god. Help yourself and play the original first or you wont understand the beauty of this game.
Im sure op os talking about the original's graphics. I mean, how can u complain about the graphics of this masterpiece of this game? All the sceneries are breathtaking and nostalgia inducing at the same time.
The graphics is cool and all. The only complain we mostly get is about the story.
