Players can get a Special Partner Ribbon by trading Pokemon with a Special Coach in the Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV). Check out how to get a special partner ribbon and how it differs from a regular partner ribbon, as well as the traded Pokemon titles.

How to Get Special Partner Ribbon

Invite Special Coaches 3 Times and Trade Pokemon With Them

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Katy

You can get a Special Partner Ribbon by trading Pokemon with a Special Coach. You must first invite a specific special coach 3 times before you can initiate a trade with them.

Once you receive a special coach's Pokemon, that Pokemon will have a special version of the partner ribbon, as well as a unique title.

What is Special Partner Ribbon?

Ribbons Given to Pokemon Once Partnered With a Great Trainer

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Special Partner Ribbon

A Special Partner Ribbon are ribbons given to a Pokemon who was once partnered with a great trainer such as Gym Leaders, Elite Four or faculty members of the academy.

This type of ribbon differs from a regular Partner Ribbon where the latter has a small chance of being on any wild Pokemon that is caught and gives the title: the Reliable Partner after the Pokemon's name or nickname.
