To celebrate Golden Week in Japan, a Mass Outbreak Event featuring Varoom, Magikarp, Shinx, and Rellor will take place from April 26, 2024 to May 06, 2024! This Mass Outbreak will run concurrently with the Iron Leaves and Walking Wake Tera Raid Event Reruns!

Mass outbreaks of multiple Baby Pokemon like Varoom and Magikarp are more likely to appear in Paldea! Meanwhile, Kitakami has Shinx and the Terarium has Rellor.

A Ghost Halloween Mass Outbreak event featuring several Ghost-type Pokemon was held last October 27 to October 31.

The Ghost-Type Pokemon encountered at these Mass Outbreaks will have a boosted chance of having the Crafty Mark, and you'll be able to find them in either Paldea or Kitakami.

Do take note that you don't need the DLC in order to catch Phantump in the Paldea region.

The first mass outbreak event will allow you to catch Clefairy in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The Clefairy mass outbreak event starts on Thursday, September 28 and runs for 3 days until Sunday, October 1. During this time, you'll be able to catch Clefairy in both the main Paldea region and the DLC location of Kitakami.

You don't need to download the DLC in order to catch Clefairy in the main Paldea region.

The Clefairy that you encounter during this mass outbreak event are more likely to come with the Upbeat Mark. Pokemon with the Upbeat Mark come associated with the title “the Chipper”.

Scheduled Mass Outbreaks Featuring Exclusive Pokemon

Mass outbreak events feature swarms of the same Pokemon species appearing in the same location. These limited-time events can allow you to catch Pokemon not originally encountered in the Paldea region and base Scarlet and Violet game.

During mass outbreak events, you will also occasionally catch Pokemon with marks. Marks appear as special titles along with the name of your Pokemon when you send it out to battle.
