Unlock Requirements Unlock 6-Star Tera Raid Battles to Participate
To do this, you'll need to complete the Academy Ace Tournament, then do 8-10 4-Star or 5-Star Raids until you get a call from Jacq.

The second round of the 7-Star Raid Event featuring Galar's very own Cinderace has ended on January 15, 2023.

Cinderace had a Fighting Tera Type and had its own Mightiest Mark. Like with the previous 7-Star Raid, Cinderace can only be caught once, but players were able to participate on other raids to get more rewards.

Encounter Gyarados and Gengar

During the event, Tera Raids featuring Gyarados and Gengar were also available in 4-Star and 5-Star raid dens.

7-Star Cinderace Moveset

Cinderace Uses Physical Attacks

Pokemon Set

Pokemon Fire Type Icon
Tera Type: Pokemon Fighting Type Icon
Ability: Libero (Hidden Ability)
IVs: 31 IVs in Every Stat
Nature: Adamant
・ High Jump Kick
・ Pyro Ball
・ Acrobatics
・ Iron Head
During the Raid, the 7-Star Cinderace can also use Bulk Up.

Cinderace's Attack stat is high and it will use physical moves throughout the raid. It also knows a move which allows it to power up its attacks even more.

Cinderace uses High Jump Kick, a strong Fighting-type move which has its damage further boosted by the Fighting Tera Type bonus. Cinderace also has its signature Fire-type move Pyro Ball which has a chance to burn the target, debilitating physical attackers.

In addition Cinderace will also use Acrobatics and Iron Head, powerful Flying and Steel Type coverage moves, respectively.

Finally, rounding out Cinderace's moveset is the additional move, Bulk Up which increases its Attack and Defense stats making it even more formidable.

It is recommended to pump up your Pokemon's HP and Defense stats before participating in these raids to raise your chance of surviving longer against Cinderace.

Has Libero Hidden Ability

Cinderace has Libero as its Ability during the raid. This works similarly to Protean, but since Cinderace will always be Terastallized during the raid, it will be a Fighting-type throughout the entire raid even if it uses different moves. Cinderace will still get the additional STAB bonus from Libero on the Type of the first move it uses.

7-Star Cinderace Rewards

Cinderace with the Unrivaled Mark

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (SV) - Cinderace with Mightiest Mark

The biggest reward from conquering this raid is the opportunity to catch the Cinderace itself. Keep in mind that it can only be caught once per save file.

The Cinderace will have its Hidden Ability Libero, max IVs in every stat, and the unique Mightiest Mark which confers it the title of Cinderace the Unrivaled.

Shiny Cinderace Will Not Appear in Raids

You will not be able to encounter any Shiny Cinderace for the entire duration of the raid event. If you want a Shiny Cinderace, you need to breed and hatch for a Shiny Scorbunny.

Best Pokemon for 7-Star Cinderace

Use Ghost, Psychic, or Fairy-type Pokemon

Since Cinderace's Tera Type is Fighting, it is recommended to use Psychic and Fairy-type Pokemon to deal super-effective damage against it. You can also use Ghost-type Pokemon to be unaffected by its High Jump Kick.

You can also use Fire-type Pokemon which can render Cinderace's Fire-type moves ineffective, provided you can use attacks that are strong against a Fighting-type Pokemon.

This strategy allows you to take on the Cinderace raid alone, and relies on stacking up stat boosts to deal huge damage with Stored Power.

Cinderace can use Bulk Up, which activates Espathra's Opportunist Ability which also raises its stats.

How to Use

Turn 1
・ Use Feather Dance to lower Cinderace's Attack
・ Cinderace may use Bulk Up, which activates Opportunist and copies its stat changes
Turn 2~4
・ Use Lumina Crash to deal damage and recover some HP with Shell Bell
Turn 5
・ Use Calm Mind to gain +1 Sp. Atk and Sp. Def
・ Get more stat boosts if Cinderace uses Bulk Up
Turn 6+
・ Terastallize into a Psychic-type
・ Use multi-stat boosted + Tera STAB Stored Power to deal massive damage

At the start of the battle, use Feather Dance to reduce Cinderace's Attack stat. It will also use Bulk Up, which is also beneficial to you, thanks to the Ability Opportunist which allows Espathra to copy Cinderace's stat boosts.

After that, deal some super-effective damage with Lumina Crash. You can recover HP if you take some damage form your attacks thanks to Shell Bell.

Next, set up Espathra to use Stored Power by stacking up stat boosts with Calm Mind and those obtained from Opportunist. Once you're done, Terastallize Espathra and unleash its might with Stored Power!

How to Join the 7-Star Cinderace Event

Unlock 6-Star Tera Raids to Participate

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - 7-Star Cinderace Tera Raid Battle World View

Cinderace normally cannot be found in Paldea, making the 7-Star Cinderace quite the catch. But you have to fight it in a Black Crystal Tera Raid.

These raids are tough, so trainers will have to prepare in advance. It's also recommended to complete the post-game before you participate. Players who are in earlier points of the game can still join via Link Code, but it is highly discouraged since these 7-Star raids will be extremely difficult.

How to Unlock 6-Star Raids and List of Pokemon

Black Tera Raids vs. Normal Tera Raids

Remember that Black Tera Raid symbols on the map do not come in any other color except black. Meanwhile, normal Tera Raid symbols are colored according to the Tera Type of the Pokemon in them.

When you're looking for the Tera Raid with the 7-Star Cinderace, keep your eyes peeled for a Black Tera Raid symbol on the map with the Fighting-type Pokemon icon.

Cinderace Raid FAQ

Can You Catch Cinderace Again?

Only Catchable Once Per Event

Players can only catch one 7-Star Cinderace, but even after they catch it, Black Crystals containing Cinderace will still spawn in their game once per day, and they can still participate in others' raids.

However, they cannot catch another Cinderace, and will only gain the other rewards for participating.

Additionally, players who caught the Cinderace in Round 1 cannot catch Cinderace again even if they participate in Round 2.

Can You Breed the 7-Star Cinderace?

You Can Breed for a Scorbunny

Once you've caught the Cinderace, you can easily breed it to produce Scorbunny Eggs. Like other bred Pokemon, they also have a chance to be Shiny!

However, note that these Scorbunny will not inherit the Fighting Tera Type or the Mightiest Mark from the 7-Star Cinderace. If you want to have another with a Fighting Tera Type, you need to collect and use 50 Fighting Tera Shards to change its Tera Type.

Breeding Guide: How to Breed and Get Eggs

Will Cinderace Have Its Hidden Ability?

Raid Cinderace Will Have Hidden Ability

The raid Cinderace that you will encounter will have Libero, which is its Hidden Ability. During the raid, Cinderace will not change types depending on the move it will use, as its Tera Type will always be Fighting.
