Balms are throwable items in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that are used to quell Noble Pokemon. Read on to learn more about these new items, list of Balms, and how to use them.

 Mountain Balm
|
A mysterious balm that gives off a soothing scent. It can be used to help calm the frenzy of the Lord of the Hollow, Electrode. |

 Mysterious Balm
|
A mysterious balm to be used when battling Arceus. |

 Snow Balm
|
A mysterious balm that gives off a soothing scent. It can be used to help calm the frenzy of the Lord of the Tundra, Avalugg. |

 Space Balm
|
A mysterious balm that somehow has the power to calm Palkia in its frenzy. |
・Obtained while battling Palkia Origin Form during The Counterpart Mission. |
 Time Balm
|
A mysterious balm that somehow has the power to calm Dialga in its frenzy. |
・Obtained while battling Dialga Origin Form during The Counterpart Mission. |
 Volcano Balm
|
A mysterious balm that gives off a soothing scent. It can be used to help calm the frenzy of the Lord of the Isles, Arcanine. |
・Obtained while battling the Hisuian Arcanine during The Lordless Island Mission. |
Balms are throwable items made of a Pokemon's favorite food and encased in a pouch. These items are used to pacify enraged Noble Pokemon, aside from weakening them by using your Pokemon's moves.
It seems like there are various types of Balms made for specific environments. An example being the Forest Balm made for Kleavor who resides in a forest.
At the start of a Noble Pokemon battle, a yellow meter will appear above the screen. Throw balms at the Noble Pokemon to gradually lower it, while dodging its attacks by pressing Y. If you are having a difficult time aiming your throws, hold ZL to focus on your target.
At some point during the fight, you can let out one of your own Pokemon to engage in battle against the Noble Pokemon. Defeat the Noble Pokemon in battle to continue throwing balms and lowering the meter.
