yes. just make sure you get the moderator to get more chances of getting critical hits against them.
also, they make a really loud sound whenever they open their mouths
i never tried it, but im pretty sure you can kill anyone with only your handgun. ive seen people finish the game using only a knife

Not sure if that is on nightnare mode but i rather run away from these monsters

I killed them using the pistol. 2 mags and it will die. just be sure to target the mouth for a higher chance of critical hits.
they are almost imposible to kill without using grenade launcher or shotgun
yup. the bg music will also change a little if they spawned. hope this helps
true. they can also spawn behind you. it's better to play with sound on so you can hear them.
running around carelessly = death.
That's why you shouldn't run around the area casually or you'll get surprised by them. progress a little slower so that you will have more time to recover and kill them.
I hate these guys. they just pop out of nowhere and beat your ass.
This is a nice way to die, then you'll wake up to another world and become the protagonist HAHAHA.

In hardcore you can still 1 hit them using grenades. I'll test it out on the higher difficulty modes.

yep. idk why but grenades can easily kill anything in the game. maybe they got nerfed on a higher difficulty?
I found the regular hunters far worse. The Hunter Gamma’s where pretty strait forward tbh. Either way a grenade sorts them both out pretty easily. Also, I felt like FIRE grenades (from the launcher of course) dealt more damage to the Gamma’s than explosive grenades did.
