List of Contents
Silk Scarf | |
Effect | An item to be held by a Pokemon. It's a sumptuous scarf that boosts the power of Normal-type moves. |
---|
Places This Item Can Be Found | |
---|---|
Motostoke |
Silk Scarf can be found at the upper left corner of Motostoke. It is beside a container near the Pokemon Center.
The following Pokemon may hold the item, Silk Scarf. You can get it by using the move Thief or Trick.
Trubbish | Garbodor |
The Silk Scarf has the effect of increasing the power of Normal-type Moves by 1.2x.
This can be an alternative to choice items since it does not penalize the user in using only one move. However, it is important to note that this only affects Normal-type Moves and is recommended to be used by Normal-type Pokemon that benefit from STAB.
You may at times have difficulty in choosing between Silk Scarf or either Choice Band or Choice Specs to power up your Normal-type attacker.
Advantage | Disadvantage | |
---|---|---|
Silk Scarf | ・20% damage boost to Normal-type moves ・Can use all moves |
・Only boost Normal-type moves |
Choice Band or Choice Specs | ・50% boost to Atk/Sp.Atk | ・Locked to one move |
In these situations, it is best to determine how offensive your Pokemon will be in battle.
If your Pokemon will only rely on one Normal-type move, then a Choice item will be the better option. If you think your Pokemon needs to use a coverage or any other move somewhere down the road, then let it hold Silk Scarf.
