Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

Neutral IVs by default!

As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Winter Ignatz will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Spd/-HP

The best IVs for Winter Ignatz are +Spd and -HP. Boosting Ignatz's Spd allows him to perform follow-up attacks more easily and prevent enemy follow-up attacks more often at the same time.

His other stats are all respectable and loweing them changes his matchups accordingly. Thus, -HP is the bane of choice, because it is the easiest to patch up through Legendary and Mythic Blessing bonuses.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Winter Ignatz to +10. His Spd is high enough to compete with the fastest units in the game, thus it should be boosted as much as possible.

How to Use, Explanation

This build doubles-down on Unity stacking to abuse enemy debuffs and reach absurd levels of passive bonuses. D/R Far Save protects nearby allies from ranged attacks.

Winter Ignatz is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Winter Ignatz Strengths

Converts Penalties into Buffs

Winter Ignatz's weapon, Tannenbow+, takes the penalties on him and turns them into buffs x2 while in combat.

The debuff, however, will still be present so the net value will be a positive buff (Ex: if Ignatz has a -7 penalty in Atk, it turns into a +14 Atk buff while in combat, resulting in a positive buff of Atk+7).

The more penalties Ignatz has, the stronger he gets.

Kit Synergizes with His Weapon

Because Ignatz's weapon turns him into a really bulky physical tank, the rest of his kit helps him do just that.

Spd/Def Form 3 and Def Tactic 3 both boost his Def, giving him a max of +13 Def if both are triggered.
