The best IVs for Summer Dorothea are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Dorothea to score follow-up attacks even on very fast foes. Her Res is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Summer Dorothea to 10. This allows her to score follow-up attacks and avoid taking follow-up attacks even against the fastest of enemies in Aether Raids or Abyssal maps. Since her Atk is a superboon, you can also go for a +Atk IV. Dorothea is mainly seen as a dancer, but she can hit hard if you need her to. Do not overlook this strength of hers!

Summer Dorothea is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Summer Dorothea Strengths

Refreshes her allies' actions and debuffs enemies simultaneously

When Dorothea uses Dance on an ally, her B skill, Atk Cantrip 3 gets triggered and it inflicts -7 Atk to the nearest foes within 4 spaces of unit. This gives great advantage for Dorothea and her team as this will reduce the damage received from the counterattacks and their attacks in the enemy phase.

Weapon provides buffs and heals once per phase

Hidden Thorns+ grants Dorothea +5 Atk/Res and restores 7 HP to her after combat every first battle of a turn. It can only be activated once per turn, but it is pretty helpful nonetheless. If Dorothea needs a boost to take a priority unit down, she can bait enemies into attacking her while Hidden Thorns+ is still available in said turn.

This makes her player phase very flexible as she can either Dance and inflict debuffs with her B skill or launch a fairly loaded attack that will heal her and apply Dagger 7 to an area.

Hone Atk 4 grants allies a massive Atk buff

Hone Atk 4 is an upgraded version of Hone Atk 3. It grants +7 Atk to allies that are adjacent to Summer Dorothea at the start of the turn. This is a massive buff so make sure to move Dorothea adjacent to an ally to make use of this buff.

Summer Dorothea Weaknesses

Low Def

Dorothea's Def only sits at 20 at Lv. 40. Even though she can heal up using her weapon skill, you should still pay attention to powerful physical attackers that can easily take her down. Look out for units that use weapons like the Brave Bow+ as they can score multiple hits regardless of Dorothea's Spd!
