The Bliss ending is one of the new Silent Hill 2 endings that provides a new perspective on how James wanted his story to end.
For this conclusion, James opted to drink the hallucinogen called White Claudia to "dream" of a scenario where he is on a happy vacation with his deceased wife Mary in Room 312 of Lakeview Hotel.
The scene panned out to an empty chair, further alluding that James has "succumbed" to the dream and has opted to let everything go in exchange for a blissful, false reality. James also did not find out he killed Maria because the tapes showed him a different scene - not of him smothering Mary.
Stillness is a new ending that seems to be an alternate version of the In Water ending, with the only difference being the presence of Mary in the backseat of his car before he plunges to the depth of Lake Toluca.
The scene played out like the In Water ending, with James letting go of everything and wanting to join Mary in the afterlife. For this ending, however, instead of looking at a seemingly empty backseat, James now sees Mary attempting to assure him that "she is waiting" in the afterlife.
The kicker for this ending is Mary saying those assurances with a smirk on her face, which is opposite to the sweet demeanor James remembers of his wife. We could assume that this Mary is not the Mary he knows and is playing tricks on James to drive off into the depths of the Lake.
