Night Slash Effect

Night Slash In-Game.jpg

For a short time, the user's next movement becomes a dash attack. After the user performs a dash attack, its next basic attack becomes a special boosted basic attack. Then, after that special boosted basic attack (or another move) hits an opposing Pokemon, the user's next movement becomes a dash attack again, and so on. This move's effect duration is limited, but after each time the user hits with a dash atack, a special boosted basic attack, or another move, the duration resets. If the user moves when unable to do a dash attack, this move's effect duration immediately ends. During this move, if the user hits opposing Pokemon with a combined total of six dash attacks and special boosted basic attacks (or other moves), the uuser will jump into the air and then land with a slash in a set area of effect, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon. If this slash attack hits opposing Pokemon, the user recovers HP. While jumping, the user is able to use Shadow Claw or Cut to move a set distance.

Attacks nearby targets or performs the move, allowinh Night Slash to be used again.

The table above is a summary of the two essential buttons/controls you need to know in order to perform Night Slash's full combo.

Move the D-Pad to Dash

When you activate Night Slash, moving the D-pad to a particular direction makes Zoroark dash towards that direction instead of the walking normally. Use this dash to stick to your target or switch to another one.

Alternate Between Dashing and Attacking

When you activate Night Slash, hitting a target with your attacks or moves allows you to use Night Slash again. However, the most efficient way to perform the entire Night Slash combo is by alternating dashing and attacking. Doing so allows you to dish out damage and finish the combo quickly. It also makes you harder to aim since you're dashing too fast.

Choose a Target for the Final Attack

Even if the final attack deals area damage, it's best to stick to one target for the final attack if there are multiple targets nearby since you won't be able to move that much while in the air. This ensures that you'll burst down at least one target or bring their HP down to critical levels. It also ensures you'll recover HP. Choose the target with the lowest HP or the one that lacks mobility.

Use Shadow Claw or Cut to Dash

While you're in the air, you can use Shadow Claw or Cut to dash a short distance, allowing you to better aim your final attack. This is useful for chasing targets down that are a little out of range.

Traverse Walls

You can use Night Slash's dash mechanic to traverse walls, allowing you to easily attack targets from behind walls. You can also use it for escaping if needed.

I was stuck for a long time figuring how to use night slash, if you are stuck too ,you have to move while using the basic attack to guide the dash attack, Also here's a few tips: Move the move switch back and forth if you want to focus on one target

a few tips about night slash -you can use you other move even while chaining the combo to reposition -flicking your joy-stick/d-pad makes it so you don’t cancel the chain -during the final slash, eject button can be used to reposition further hope this helped!
