Excalibur for Damage
Excalibur is the best item to equip to deal damage against enemies close up, beating any spells currently available in the game. Do note that this might be harder to get than some of the other items here, but its benefits make it worth the effort.
Excalibur also has an active ability that brings down thunder upon enemies. This one-shots your enemies, so you essentially have an extra spell in a weapon.
Levitator for Mobility
The Levitator is the best mobility item in the game as you can use it on yourself or your enemies. It can be used to levitate yourself for a long duration, allowing you to both reposition yourself and cast your abilities while being untouched.
Thrumming Stone for Protection
Thrumming Stone can be used to negate opposing spells, making it such a great item if timed correctly. Note that the cooldown for this active ability is quite long, so you should mainly use this to surprise your enemies.
Frog Balloon to Take No Fall Damage
The Frog Balloon is essential to have, as it allows you take no fall damage when falling to the ground from high up in the air. This is essential in both offensive and defensive situations because enemies can fling you up in the air.
Used offensively, you can use this with other items and spells to maneuver around the battlefield and gain an advantage against your enemies.
Silverseed Bramble to Slow Enemies
The Silverseed Bramble is useful to have because it prevents your enemies from immediately getting to you. While it doesn't have any slowing effects, it provides a high amount of damage that leaves enemies having to move around it to reach your position.
This item has three casts that can be used before it goes into a cooldown, so you can use this while escaping enemy groups. Do note that you will also take damage from this if you step on the bramble, so be careful when placing them.
